MLB 2021 Season

Spin rates way down…as are strikeouts and OBP back up since crackdown on pitchers using prohibited substances. Cheating is what it was.

Now that is a brilliant name change. I read The Cleveland Guardians and it didn’t need any getting used to. Going from Indians to Guardians is actually very easy. Great choice.

I've had a look around but I can't find this individual's batting stat being used but I think it would be good.

Bases per out

How many bases you earned for the team (for yourself and for any runners)

Divided by

How many outs your at bat cost (for yourself and any runners)

Let's say there's a runner on first and you ground out into a double play
0 bases
2 outs

Home run, no one on base
4 bases
0 outs

Home run with bases loaded
10 bases
0 outs

Runner on first and you earn a walk
2 bases
0 outs

Sacrifice fly and runner on third scores
1 base
1 out

Etc

Takes into account:
The extra opportunity/responsibility when there are runner(s) on base
Recognises batters advanced, not just runs batted in
Includes walks

It will take some getting use to, but at least it has a good link to Cleveland

That was including blowing a 10-0 lead as well wasn't it?
Tigers led 10-0 then it got back to 13-12 after 8. Amazing game

Tigers pitching is pretty random

Previous game in the 10th they walked the first two batters to load the bases with no outs but somehow won :D

The last few days there was lots of talk about Anthony heading to the Red Sox. So this was out of the blue.

I hope he gives Yankee supporters plenty of enjoyment like he did Cubs supporters. :(

im hoping he does too, his left handed bat should be well suited to Yankee Stadium
