Agree with your best 22 though I would like to see Philp or Carroll have blinding preseasons and grab Owies’ spot, not necessarily as forwards but as part of a mid/fwd rotation.

Could we look at some SOS type package deals?

Geelong
Quinton Narkle (Mid)
Nathan Kreuger (KPD)
Jordan Clark (Wing) (Rumoured close mates with Cripps)

Wester Bulldog
Lewis Young (KPD)
Ed Richards (Wing)
Pat Lipinski (Mid/Forward)

Fremantle
Adam Cerra (Mid)
Lloyd Meek (Ruck)
I’m a Narkle fan have been for a while, just starting to find his feet, looking more confident and comfortable each game he plays...
23yrs 32 games 182cm 83kg
#60 National Draft W.A

Jordan Clarke is a ripper and would be a very good get, speedy ball carrier multi positional would be perfect on a wing...
20yrs 31 games 185cm 83kg
#15 2018 National Draft W.A

You put a fair bit of work into that, well done...

For me Fisher is absolutely off the trade table...

I’m happy to clean out all the veterans now if the club is happy to keep Ed I’m fine with that as well, the age and games demographic is at a stage where we can let go of a few other average players for better players of certain positional needs and uploading by the drafts...

I’m not getting in anyone of elderly age with current injury problems for any role at all ‘Talia’ we need to identify and buy wisely...

Bang on with the required players...

I don't really have strong interest in any of them...only a bit in a few and here's my reasoning:

Quinton Narkle - Injury prone and at 23 is still someone with 'potential' rather than consistent, proven performances. Does he really improve our best 22 that much?
Nathan Kreuger - Admit I don't know anything about him except we traded Geelong the pick to get him. Yesterday was his first AFL game so can't really say if he's any good.
Jordan Clark - Prob going to Perth. I do have interest in him probably to replace Newnes on a wing but we actually have a lot of HBF's and a few could play wing like Williamson. Docherty was pushed to a wing a bit before getting injured.

Lewis Young - From what I've seen he's not that good. More a loose man interceptor than strong 1v1 KPD.
Ed Richards - Looked good early in his career but has really dropped off the last few years. Certainly on current form he's not best 22...mainly plays half back and we are stacked in that position.
Pat Lipinski - A nice player, but again I don't see him as best 22 for us.

Adam Cerra - Definitely best 22, but would require a big contract and trade to acquire and I don't think he's worth that. TBH I think he's overrated. Doesn't kick goals, doesn't consistently play to a high level, doesn't win games off his own boot like Walsh etc.
Lloyd Meek - Would entertain as a back up ruck on the list to replace Casboult. For his career though I don't think Carlton would be a great choice.

Kennedy undervalued by some.
There's definitely a place for him in our best team next year.
Allows Sam Walsh to not end up battered n bruised in 3 years time.

All Good...
His 32 next year, if you want to keep him who are you going to delist to do so?

OOC Re-Signings
SPS, Pittonet, Newnes, Kemp, Honey, LOB, JSOS, Fogarty, Ramsey

Probably Ramsay from that list. SPS could be on his way out. We have no idea how many changes the club intends to make or who will ask for a trade in/out. I do know Curnow is still best 22 and drives standards.

Cerra was immense today against Richmond and stood up to their intense pressure. Brayshaw better but not available. Cerra will only get better and is still just 21 - is definitely worth the $600-700K and our first rounder.

Worth it for the immediate impact he’ll provide.

Walsh, Cerra, Dow and hopefully Kennedy/Stocker/Kemp is an awesome group of talent in the right age group. Supported by Cripps and perhaps a Lyons/Greenwood type acquisition.

Keep Jones Thats it for the 30+ group.

Jonesy definitely, besides we haven’t even got a replacement on the list for him yet...
Love Jonesy!

Sure sometimes his decision making can test the blood pressure but his endeavour is first rate. Won't die wondering.

Together with Weitering, their intercept marks are a thing of beauty.

Not wrong, very unique player who can do the most amazing things then some of the most frustrating...
He’s an important part of our backline and a great success story from where he was at before becoming a defender...

Stays for depth experience but his disposal is just average at best.
Rather go with the 23 and under guys in the middle it is their time now.

Sure, in an ideal world we'd all love for Ed to have a bit more polish but he's always been somewhat of an underrated player too. He sets high pre-season standards for the team and is an example of a player wringing out the very best in himself.

Ed has said himself that when he gets the tap on the shoulder to move on he'll understand. Just can't see it happening this end of season.

Besides who else can do do this :p while tackling?
