Can see his confidence building and building.

really hope he continues to work on his goal finishing cause he’s going to put himself in plenty of positions to have a go ( nailed one today but missed probably a lockable one on another)

Needs to run, run, run, run all through summer. He was seriously labouring in the second half and really dropped off on the defensive running.

Pretty sure his game time was up today. Played 88 mins when he’s normal game time is around 77 mins . Definitely looked gassed towards the end.

Watching LDU & Jy play together is really something to behold, and its even more startling how fast LDU has managed to get up to Jy's level. Obviously Jy has him beat for fitness and experience but that midfield doesn't function without LDU and Jy.

We can actually win a centre bounce without Cunnington or Thomas. It's impressive. They take us to a whole new level but its clear LDU & Jy is the engine room.

Nah mate. LDU can kick.
also - much better than D at releasing by hand from congestion. Thats has really developed this year. So has all 3 covered - escape from stoppage, kick out of congestion and release by hand after taking the tackle. Not many mids do all those well. Struggling to think of any atm. eg Dusty doesnt HB much - doesnt need to. LDU is sort of (good) unique..

Copped a knock on the knee mid game, I expect it had some impact. No doubt more tank to build however remember he came off OP this year.

Literally 12 months ago yesterday he played his second game back from OP. He had 17 & 2 against the Crows and we all thought wow. How far he has come in those 12 months in terms of both consistency through a game (and now week-to-week) and strength in the contest is seriously impressive.

Last three games of the season will take him to 50.

From game 51 onwards it’s not unreasonable to expect 25ppg, 6.5 clearances, 0.5 goals, 4 tackles.

And it’s going to be glorious.
In his last 6 consecutive games, he has had double digits contested possessions in each one. In the 43 games he played before that, he had double-digit contested possessions 7 times.
In 8 of his last 11 games, he has had 5 clearances or more. In the 36 games he played before that he had done it 4 times in total.

He is really starting to build a body of work consistent with being one of the elite mids in the competition and there is still significant upside to his tank and power.
