They spent the first minute and 40 seconds showing the club shop and other images around the stadium and then Lionel Messi standing on the pitch like a ******* idiot for about 4 seconds. I still can’t tell if that is really Lionel Messi because it looks like a promo image of Messi from FIFA.
They weren't even the first to announce the deal. The following tweet was:
That's the brother of the emir of Qatar announcing that Messi has been signed on Aug 7th. Shows what PSG is all about.

It'll definitely boost their revenue, but does having Messi compared to Mbappe and Neymar really translate into that much extra $$? I'm not sure but I guess it's not my money.
How was that tweet missed by everyone? 4 days ago?
One take drone shots are all the rage right now but they got carried away with trying to make it cool rather than the whole purpose of the video - Messi. They spent the first minute and 40 seconds showing the club shop and other images around the stadium and then Lionel Messi standing on the pitch like a ******* idiot for about 4 seconds. When it comes time to renew commercial deals or sign new ones it will. The amount of coverage they are generating today is worth $'s in these deals. The deal wont pay for itself but bringing in a mega signing like that will bring in more commercial revenue. Same with Ronaldo at Juventus. They had stars and won many titles but bringing in a worldwide star that transcends the sport is massive even if on the pitch results don't improve drastically. It'll definitely boost their revenue, but does having Messi compared to Mbappe and Neymar really translate into that much extra $$? It was only a matter of time before he was coming to the Prem really.
Disappointed Messi went to France. I would've liked to have seen him perform in the EPL the best league in the world instead he took the easy option.
He's worth hundreds of millions, he didn't need the money.

Messi is on a different level to them both.I guess, I just see Mbappe as already a ridiculously huge star, and Neymar was a huge statement signing. I don't know how many sponsors who hadn't jumped on at that point will now, or how much more money sponsors will fork out to the club, to the point of making Messi's signing 'pay for itself' as I think I saw in a piece on the deal.
You know the ins and out of all of their commercial deals now....All of their commercial deals are signed long term apart from the kit deal
Kit deals are a % of revenue generated from kits sold. So if they sale 10% more kits this year to last year they get 10% more. Even if they don't re-negotiate a Messi % increaseVery unlikely the new kit deal in 2022 for PSG will see Messi make a significant difference as he will only be around for another season by that stage. Perhaps PSG could negotiate extra for Messi jersey sales although I suspect Messi will want a bit part of that for the one season he will be around under the new kit deal.
Ask 1,000 non French people who he is if they saw a random picture of him and I doubt 900 say Kylian Mbappe.PSG already had the world's biggest star in Mbappe

sh*t between advising the Vic govt not to build the East-West tunnel because nobody travels those directions for work and being part of all of PSG's commercial deal negotiations how do you have any time to spend on here?
I already explained to you they have % of revenue from kit deals. As do all clubs.LOL
You do realise that they're all publicly available!
Nike have PSG until 2032, not 2022. I was mistaken. Nike aren't renegotiating anything. Accor only just signed up, their new major jersey sponsor. They've even brought Qatar Tourism authority back on board but don't be surprised if that magically increases by 20 million a season.![]()
PSG seal record €80m per year Nike kit deal
PSG have announced a long-term contract extension with kit manufacturer Nike, which is now one of football's most lucrative, a source told ESPN FC.www.espn.com.au
I already said with SM they wont recoup all the money spent on this deal. But they will generate SOME extra revenue out of this deal to cover SOME of the costs associated with it. Only PSG and perhaps City and Chelsea can afford to make these sorts of deals. It's a wonder you haven't been signed up the by the government as an adviser as you believe that the East-West white elephant should have been built. Also it seems you seem to know better than pretty much every club in Europe who stayed away from the Messi deal as it didn't make financial sense. I guess they should have consulted yourself first because you seem to all have it figured out lol.
Yeah but he has the value so why shouldn’t he capitalise on that? PSG the only ones who could afford it. Would’ve been great to see him in EPL though.Disappointed Messi went to France. I would've liked to have seen him perform in the EPL the best league in the world instead he took the easy option.

Question.. Will they sell more or less shirts this season with Messi or not having Messi?
