Turnbull isn’t breaking any rules. It’s his property isn’t it? We all have to obey them. Turnbull is a pretty ordinary person, you just don’t like it because he has a pier and he is rich.

Like I said, when the leftist elite start selling their seafront mansions then we should start taking the threat of sea level rises seriously.

Less than a week after the IPCC report drops Biden asks OPEC to pump out fossil fuels at a faster rate.

He's obviously concerned.

Gosh. It's almost like our entire society is incentivized to worry more about short term gains than long term stability.

I want prices to go up. That's how you get adoption and development of alternatives.

Climate denialism is full of people living in fantasy land.

I have the above poster on block for a reason, don't bother. If they are arguing against CC let them present a scientific paper. Oh wait, they have, the difference being it either comes from bloggers, youtubers, DJ's, arts degree holders or sold out scientists funded by Koch brothers or some ultra right wing group/Fossil fuel industry. If you read the previous pages, they have exactly done that. Anthony Watts is very credible according to them, but NASA is "lulz..."

you are failing to understand how jobs are created. They are not created by governments or an elite group of mega corporations. They are created by people wanting stuff that is not free.

if people want stuff that’s not free then there will be jobs for them to do. It doesn’t even matter if technologies do it better And cheaper. As long as technologies don’t do it for free then people will have work to do. And if the technologies can do it for free then there will be no need to work for it. As it will be free.

this is not an easy Concept for many to understand. Hell even some economists struggle to grasp it. But jobs are not running out. There will always be jobs.

thé technologies also make the price of goods and services fall dramatically. You therefore need to work less to have the same standard of living.

the industrial revolution did create some unexpected negative consequences. Some tragedy of the commons that people did not understand until it had already happened. pollution and water borne illnesses being two of the big ones. But it also reduced poverty and created great wealth. do You think people working in the fields were having a great time. It was a horrible life. In developing economies people jump at the chance to leave the fields for the factory warehouse.
I thought I answered this? You seem to think that every body living easily technology or not is a good thing, I see something different if technology which advances and advances and does things now humans used to do, well it may turn our world into too many idle people , so I'm talking humanity and what we are, human beings , and too many of them with nothing to do is not very nice. Because puropse to live is needed some do it easy some don't but when lots do nothing, and I 'm saying that it is quite possible with technology whether you agree or not is not for me to worry about, it may remove many jobs many .

Now we get to the nitty gritty, look at welfare and hand outs because of COVID , where some business' after it sort of became part of the normal day for everyone , could not get workers , the handouts made it easy for some, easier for others than when they worked, there is a good example of people living on the welfare system I mean the majority, you don't think this pandemic has shown especially here in Aus, what in the beginning doing nothing is great , until it is not, so replace COVID just a maybe remember, but replace COVID19 now with the words TECHNOLOGY TAKE OVER, say in 20 maybe 30 , s**t maybe 10 years
When blue collar people with no training or not that well educated, like the laboror, or the truckies the mines have trucks driven by machines now, how long before either rail freight really big new developed rail freighting leaves all the semi drivers with no need to carry, it might take 20 30 years, but freighting by rail is the cheapest and the best way to move freight across tis big country, how many people drive interstate or intra state these days, in 200 to 400 thousand dollar super trucks, the raods suffer, as motor cars do, and of course there'd be some specialised operation needing a handful of truckies, but the hundred and thousands of others would be out of work.
It was an old plan of super trains for freight , by a former excellent politician, ex PM he wanted to develop double height massive freaught carriers, wonder why he didn't get to go through with it, probably the oil industry the trucking and motor cvehicle industry, but as time flies by as it does , diesal driven giant semi's will be too expensive, and if the mad greenies get going you want have a truck on the road
Now you may see that as a massive exxageration and perhaps it is , its only an opinion looking into the near and to the far future, and I've seen doco's with giant factories in USA and in Japan and other places where people barely exist inside!

Where techno giant machines run massive computerised stores and get things done in one go, what 200 people would take to do it.
That truck stuff is one example, one industry, so to what degree, no one knows. But what about if its half right, and already people have been losing jobs to machinery, it is still the industrial revolution 21st century style.
It maybe total bullshit too, but wouldn't it be wise for the powers that be across the world, looked at the human consequence.

Even if its not spot on it could be close enough. Now I have to go because I must watch some football.

Climate denialism is full of people living in fantasy land.
What is actual climate denialism? No one denies climate changes and that it goes in cycles and has forever.
And always will.
No its nature and all your maybes and predictions and fear of different weather patterns may terrify you into the
fearosphere of over imagination, id so then you need to see that all your terrors have happened before.
Warming and cooling ice ages all of it, sea levels going down so people could move across the planet lands ice ages creating ice bridges across seas, and you know what they weren't burning coal, for energy?

Now, everything you got, give it and present an argument about the history of the planet and why now its worse and the end is here!!!Which it isn't.
But kids still get terrified out of their skins by disaster mongers and fear spreading with bullsh*t. Really that is all we insignificant little animals the whole 8 billion of us can do, argue about something they simply have theories on!

We are really nothing but we think we are though!

OK

Not at the current rate or pattern, or at the current maximum. Temperatures have varied within a fairly narrow band for a long time and we are now flying off the chart.

Nobody said coal was the only way to change the climate. The problem is its what is causing climate change right now.

Don't bother mate, the looney left/greenies won't have it. But apparently the Mickey Mouse science is settled. Science is never settled morons!

97% of scientists have come to the same conclusion, that's as settled as it gets. Particularly when compared to the consequences of ignoring their findings. Plus even if they're wrong, you at least clean up the environment. Air pollution alone kills 9 million a year.

Professor Micky Mouse and Professor Dumbledore agree.

Absolutely. Gravity? Not settled. You’ll never find guys like you or I getting on a plane like all those other loony sheeple. Amirite?
Settled to an extent, yes. So there are 0 scientists working on anything involved with gravity? I'd tell you to jog on but that would be difficult to do while hiding under your bed.

Actually, there's plenty of scientists currently researching gravitational waves.
