Your clubs 26 and under side

I love what North are doing with their midfield (I can see all of Thomas, Simpkin, LDU + Horne being top-tier mids; Powell's been very good for a first-year player, Phillips is still a #3 draft pick and Stephenson should be a top-tier winger/half-forward at least), but I do agree they're probably still a forward short (could change if Comben/Edwards kick on) and defence probably needs a bit of work. Are rebuilding nicely though.

Turner - Good player, Brisbane has Starcevich so that reasoning evaporates.

Bonar - I'm unsure about his future to be honest... is meant to be another purely shutdown type, including McKay, we'd have 3 of those on our B22 if he's in there.

Young - Yeah, he sucks

Horne - Hopefully we pick him and he turns good

Mahony - Is not slow, a 19 year old and fills out a role and will never be a star.

Perez - Showed a lot in his first few games last year, seems to be quite versatile.
Comben - Had a better debut last night than a lot of key forwards... hopefully he can stay on the park
Atu - Probably the replacement candidate for Hall, has good legs and ball use
Lazz - Showed lots of pace and class for a first year player
Ford - Had a great game last night, decent games prior, should become good

Xerri - I agree with you.

Zurhaar and Larkey - Can hold their own as 1st and 2nd options and since the bye they have a combined average of 4.5+ goals a game.
Turner isn't a "good" player, he's a solid lockdown defender, does his job, but offers nothing that Starc etc do offensively, not as good as a lockdown defedner and not as consistent or close. Starc is a literal almost AA defender this year, Turner isn't close.

Bonar would be good as CHB but literally shown nothing to say he can be there for the next 5-10 years.

Mahony is just a roleplayer yep.

Atu has good legs but his ball use isn't elite (Hall is genuinely elite).

Turner has played various roles throughout the year and only did he shift mid-way through, hence why he isn't in AA discussions. Is a tier off of Starcevich but would benefit from playing in a better team.

Big difference between elite and good.

Having a roleplayer isn't bad. Richmond didn't build their dynasty with 22 superstars.

Bonar will be more that third medium tall defender

We will use Mckay and Corr as the keys

As for replacing Hall it will be Perez who we have a lot of faith in but did his acl. Seriously skilled off both sides

Freo only have 10 players over 26 on their list,

Ryan - Logue - Hughes
Chapman - Pearce - Young
Henry - Brayshaw - Aish
Sturt - Cox - Banfield
Switkowski - Treacy - Schultz

Darcy - Cerra - Serong

Frederick - Acres - Wilson - Meek

As you can see the defence and midfield are well set but the forward line is dire. Cox is a defender who does not want to play forward and Sturt is the only high pick and he is permanently injured. The rest are low draft pick punts. A textbook example of lousy list management.

That’s surprisingly decent

Small forwards are the key need for you

Not saying he's not a good piece, just saying well one comparing him to Starc is not great and two that he wouldn't be in an AA discussion anyway.

Corr is 27, i was more talking as a CHB under 26 (you really have no one) you'll probs draft one and get Bonar to that third tall intercepting role.

Like when i looked at your team, Midfield elite and then it drops off with the rucks, Ben McKay good down back but drops off with the under 26 running, intercepting and general defenders. Besides the Big Z Bull up forward and Larkey (Ford etc are good talents but not proven) there's not alot of proven or even normal talent as small/medium and especially helping Larkey.

Ford good as i said.

Starcevich's .5 more disposals and .2 more score involvements compared to Turner is the difference between him being average and a very good defender.

Starcevich is a much better kick. Averages 3 more kicks a game, over 100m gained and intercepts the ball significantly more.

Plus he’s a completely different player. He’s 188cm tall 90kg and can play on you Dustin Martin/Christian Petracca types.

Do North supporters actually think Kayne Turner is good?

Do North supporters actually think Kayne Turner is good?

He’s been turned into a lockdown small defender and literally plays on the best small forwards in the comp, players that have historically destroyed us.

Tippa 0 goals and 3 goals
Charlie Cameron 2 goals
Toby Greene 2 goals
Liam Ryan 2 goals
Shai Bolton 1 goal
Eddie Betts 0 goals
Edit: Tom Papley 2 goals

First year in the position.

Kicked multiple goals 8 times this year. Including 5 in one game.

Impressive for a dead guy
He's had like a couple good games but he's like Carlton now, stupidly and utterly inconsistent. Kicks 5 and gets 0 the next week, can play on the exact same defender and kick 5 and 0.

Hawthorn's best side under 26 (No future draftees).
B: Hardwick, DGB, Jiath
HB: Impey, Sicily, Scrimshaw
C: Day, Duke, Bramble
HF: Moore, Jeka, S. Mitchell
F: Brockman, Lewis, Koschitzke
FOL: Reeves, Worpel, Maginness
INT: Saunders, Downie, Howe, Morrison

Players who can make the side just need to see more:
Morris (love his new role as a defender in the VFL wanna see him play in the AFL with that role.)
Callow (Wanna see him play as a defender aswell as a forward, can see him making the side as a pure key defender.)
Cousins (Reckon he's literally an inch away from the team, his contract year next year most likely (aka playing his heart out to see if he can pull off a Moore).

Players who are close but aren't just there
Tom Phillips (I like him but we have better wing options, much better i might add.)

Players named Nash.
Okay he's not horrible i have more faith in Maginness from what i've seen and think he's a better long term option :D

I think Nash is absolutely in the starting midfield without any question at all.

Well with Jason Horne locked in the mids and forwards is complete

B: Turner Mckay Young
HB: McDonald Bonar Perez
C: Powell Phillips Thomas
HF: Horne Comben Taylor
F: Stephenson Larkey Zurhaar
R: Xerri LDU Simpkin
I: Dumont Lazzaro Ford Mahony/Atu

Corr at 27 not included but will be key for us for the next 5-7 years at CHB

An update to Sydney's under 26 team

Sydney
B: Blakey, Melican, O‘Riordan

C: Stephens, Heeney, Florent

Overall pretty happy with that team. A few holes but nothing too bad.
