If there’s a 3 week finals series, the first week will be all elimination finals (1st vs 8th, 2nd vs 7th etc)
Second week will be prelims
Third week GF

In the the above scenario we’ll play GWS first up.


If there’s a 2 week finals series, then the top 4 teams will play essentially prelims (1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd) with the winners squaring off in the GF the following week

In this scenario we’ll play Geelong first up

If Covid precludes having a finals series then they simply have to give it to the team on top. You can't have the whole year come to nothing. A finals series without the second placed team is even more of a farce than simply awarding the flag to the best team of the year.

This entire competition is now a total farce.

Either have a reserves comp or a state comp, not some hybrid that is costly and does not serve the purpose of either player development or to win a strong comp with a bit of passion.

In saying that, of course we should win, we did finish on top after all playing around 70% of the teams in the comp
