Wrapped to see reports Cerra will request a trade to Carlton, bloke is a bonafide talent and with a new proven coach like Lyon or Clarkson at the helm things will start looking up for the baggers I reckon.

Happy to part ways for our first rounder for him, either that or a future first round and SPS will probably get the job done.

Where in the world are you travelling to Clarko?

Has anyone told him ...

tod him what? Covid and return flights that cost 30K and that he is crazy to travel and all that time with the wife will cost him his hair?

Don't get me wrong, I like SPS.. but I just feel like we don't have anything for him, not exactly his fault, the way we've been utilizing him has been shocking from the start, if I was SPS I would be sharing the same frustration.

Cerra was my favourite in his draft year, a classy mover with a good kick.

Happy to have him inbound, will cost a first rounder-ish, probably a bit later in trade period, that's this year's drama sorted.

Maybe the relationship has another chapter to go......could be what Ross is looking for as a missing piece at Carlton.

KohPhi chip dim sims, that's it

Don’t encourage him mate. He will start telling you how he steams them first and then lightly dries them. Something about Chein Wah or Marathon being the best……South Melbourne market…z

Other clubs might wmbe willing to take a bamble on a 3 year deal so why wouldn't we to lock him down? The risk is the same for both Carlton and a rival club

It's not the same at all.

We already have him contracted for 2022. We don't have to lift a finger.

We know what we have, other teams do not.

At the very start, they actually did play him in the midfield. But actually overdid it in first year. I do not know what coach told him to drill short kicks but whenever that change happened the clowns soon got some weird idea to play him from backline. But his best work is certainly in close. We've misused him and stunted his progress. Eddie Betts kind of backed up my impression that in 2021, they just have him unsure what he supposed to be to our coaches. The first thing any new coach should do , is get him back to his natural longer kick style. Do not overthink it and play more on his instinct. But our current coaching and development may have turned him into damage goods. Hope I am wrong. There is no doubt other clubs will be hoping we trade him and they can get him cheap and turn him into something special for their own midfield.

I hope you are wrong to, I have always seen SPS from his first year as the icing, not the cake.

I am sure he will post the photo of the spit roaster he has in his garage currently!

You gave a lot of thought to that post before hitting enter didn't you?

Did you not read the one outstanding midfielder part of the first sentence?

It's the comma that fluffs that post. Easy to miscomprehend as Kennedy being the subject midfielder.

I think some people are too soft on Teague. I like him as a person but this is the gig. If you put your hand up to coach an AFL club, get the big bucks, then when things go sour, and you are a large part of why, its reality. The club can do what they like and its reasonable for the club to sound out coaches before his time is up so they are ahead of the game. That's business even if it's not the way Teague wants it.

The club will inform him when they have a replacement sorted and when they have sorted out all the financials and other legal requirements. All the talk about Lyon is just talk at the moment and nothing has been agreed to, despite every media outlet pretending they know (or based on an emotional response from a football show). Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they have indeed notified Teague that they are sounding out other coaches in the case they move off from Teague, and all his spin in press conferences are advice from his manager as to what to say. It's just an idea because these statements are out of character for DT.

Can someone also tell me what facts support the notion that the club has not supported him during his time as coach? If not facts, why else? Because they didn't coddle him publicly? They began a review mid way through a season based on a poor situation that DT was heavily responsible for? Poor assistants that Teague is actually accountable for?

Teague is not a victim here. He failed as a coach and this is the harsh reality of AFL business. Sure, there are other areas of the club that are to blame for where our culture seems to be and I am sure these will be addressed too.

I am not suggesting I don't have empathy for DT and that there are other parts of the club that are in need of change but there is only one person who is mostly responsible for the position DT finds himself in and that's him.

Stuff the BS from the media, stuff Kane Cornes and stuff Mick Malthouse (just coz).

We need a lot more cake before we worry about the icing.
