I don’t believe we stick with Teague based on chances that we may get Clarkson in 2023, and if the club is thinking this way, burn it all down since it’s the most brain dead plan ever conjured up.

I'm sure they wouldn't keep Teague on with the sole intention of keeping the seat warm for Clarko in 2023.

You address the findings of the review, set him up for success, see out the contract, if he can't be competitive in finals then we move on to Clarkson.

That is, unless Teague is doing irreversible damage - something that I'm not convinced of yet.

True, but it takes heat off everyone involved.
It may actually be true, but if it isn't, and he's still a chance, this statement takes pressure off Clarko, Teague, the Blues and Clarko's manager, who no doubt is fielding 100+ calls a day.

It takes no pressure off Clarko. Anyway it is what it is. Those that think it is a smoke screen are entitled to their opinion.

Michael Warner and Jay Clark reporting Teague’s future announcement is imminent

I read a North Melbourne supporters post yesterday they they were looking at Teague as a line coach. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a quick transition from Teague as Carlton coach to Teague as line coach somewhere.

Our only chance of getting Clarkson in 2023 is if 1 of 2 things happen.

1- Teague continues in the role on his current contract.

2- We sack Teague tomorrow and Clarkson changes his mind and interviews next week.

There is no possibility of Clarkson replacing any other coach at Carlton other than Teague.
Sam McClure said that Clarko was a lot closer to accepting our offer than people think, there was multiple discussions and he was interested in our list

I went to the jumper presentation in March 95 and I was so convinced by what I heard that night , I rang my wife as I left and said we will win the flag this year 100%.

The King is dead , long live the boss.

Never been to jumper presentation, but yeah, in 1995 there were moments you just knew this flag was not going to be pissed down the drain like the year before. I do not remember being at a game , knowing we had it won so soon into it. I reckon it was about 5 to 10 minutes into grand final and already all nerves gone and just knowing we were on song and flag was going to happen over next two hours. I do not drink much at football but that day we were already buying celebratory drinks at quarter time. Now I want to experience a premiership win where I at least feel some nerves into grand final. Hope next grand final win I goto is more like the ones I saw on tv as a kid in 1981 or 82 where game was not a certainly until late in last quarter.

C'mon 2023....

Nathan Buckley anyone?
I’m open to it, think he’d be a good option
We are a joke of a club if true. His recent record isn't good enough to warrant treating him as a messiah appointment.

Left 2 clubs in poor circumstances and was never able to adapt to a more offensive game. Since he left coaching the AFL's rules has made the game even more offensive.
That is a worry most of good teams attack play on
Hopefully he brings some good offensive ball movement assistance

If it’s him, he won’t be on FC. The club wouldn’t want it & it would be impossible for him until it’s announced

Who says that they’ve made their mind up yet? He can definitely be on there tonight and him not being there would speak the highest volumes of what is going on. I think there’s gonna be more questions put to the club as well as spotlight if he’s not.

How is he choosing GC’s list over ours?! Still doesn’t make sense him wanting to go to GC as a fit but that’s just me

Same coin..
Better weather
Hmm good point. I personally would rather one of our own take us to the promised land, and i love fast attacking footy, like how Teague has got us playing in some games.

Lyon is probably now the most likely to replace Teague, not a fan of his defensive coaching, but has taken every team he has coached, to a grand final, hmmm decisions decisions...

Yep.. I have a feeling there'll be a few twists and turns over the next week or so..
We're a lot of things at Carlton.. boring ain't one of them 😆😆

I hope that grim news has nothing to do with Docs, would be heartbreaking if that’s the case.

I think we all do amigo. I've just had surgery to remove a tumor myself recently and it's f**king horrible. I really hope Sam gets through this - playing footy is not a priority when your health is in jeopardy. And I hope both He and his family are getting all the support they need.
maybe like 10%~ of the board is going to know what dying light is
There might be more of us than that - who knows!
