100% they wouldNo way short of players , especially with no footy for 4 weeks sees most clubs have the majority of their list available
Well breaking news, you heard it first , its not just Nathan Ablett but his brother Gary Ablett Junior100% they would
smy u have to be kidding , the guy is 35 and hasnt played footy for 4 years ,, has no desire and would hardly get a kick in a ressies finals game especially100% they would

Smy ,, that wont happen in a finals gameYeah appreciate all that - why do it though? Mind you seen plenty of blokes play out of a goal square with fantastic talent but no fitness and kick 6 each week.
Absolutely that will have happened across many grades across SEQ.If clubs have thrown names onto team lists over the past month then there might be more than you think..

Sounds like he might be playing - which must be a really disappointing decision made by the club (and cynical) I think you would agree. Hasn't kicked a footy in anger for the cats this year and takes some blokes position come finals time... surely he wouldn't want to do this either??SMY,
I have confirmed Nathan is training with us and thats all the news I got...apparently is pretty fit .So I must agree with you that play him in the ressies and he proberly will take some clinkers and bag a few. lol
SMY I hear your point but I think you are kidding yourself if you think clubs wouldn't use the team sheets for the cancell3d games to qualify players for finalsSounds like he might be playing - which must be a really disappointing decision made by the club (and cynical) I think you would agree. Cats and Labrador on a hiding to nothing here, yet another reason they shhould have gone with a Top 8 - just tog et teams playing!
Labrador hasn't played since July 24, Broadbeach hasn't played since July 17.
They both get another week off this week, so Broady will be playing their first game in next weeks Preliminary Final in 6 weeks, and if they win - they have another week off!
Whoever wins that game next week, the Grand Final will be the 2nd game they play in 8 weeks.

I'm not disagreeing SMY. I'm just saying that like in cricket some batsmen walk and some don't. So if its left to the individual there will be clubs who will qualify players for finals and not bat an eyelid about itYeah but a bloke who hasn't played a game this year - and in the 2's??
A bloke who has played AFL and won an AFL premiership, you have to be kidding yourself if you don't think he would be more than a handful sitting at FF in a 2s QAFL game. Agree with SMY, pretty average you dummy up team sheets for the last 5 weeks to qualify a bloke who hasn't played a game all year.SMY I hear your point but I think you are kidding yourself if you think clubs wouldn't use the team sheets for the cancell3d games to qualify players for finals
Doesn't really matter people they'll probably choke again. seems to be a habitA bloke who has played AFL and won an AFL premiership, you have to be kidding yourself if you don't think he would be more than a handful sitting at FF in a 2s QAFL game. Which imo leads a club south in due course.I'm not disagreeing SMY. I'm just saying that like in cricket some batsmen walk and some don't. So if its left to the individual there will be clubs who will qualify players for finals and not bat an eyelid about it

And QAFL 2's footy doesn't have too many blokes running around that can run sub 4min km.. Nice stir stuydSurprise suprise ,,, one Nathan Ablett named in Broadys ressies for saturday
Disagree. Argue for honour amongst thieves all you like. The rules allowed for it.Which imo leads a club south in due course.
Yeah agree - he's better than most blokes just on DNAAnd QAFL 2's footy doesn't have too many blokes running around that can run sub 4min km..
To me its just the principle and the message it sends player #44 and everyone else in the club.

I don't see him named atmSurprise suprise ,,, one Nathan Ablett named in Broadys ressies for saturday
qualifying process is something silly like 2 games, and with VFL done - and 4 games where you could put whoever you like on a teamsheet - its going to be a free for all.
MOrningside Hornets B2B !
definately not a fan of this, how can qafl let this happen? not a single game played!!True to form, the siders roll out 10 VFL listed players and drop blokes who have played every game this year for them
Surely I'm 2nd bottom on your list of good blokes now LongyZillmere? This is absolute gold.
Even a couple of blokes who literally haven't pulled the Panthers jumper on this year once!
