Lack of spending isn't the only reason they've fallen so far. But it is a significant one.

To show how far they have fallen at the start of this thread there were a couple of posts suggesting they might be able to get Pep in to replace Wenger.

Can you imagine the ridicule you would get if you even suggested that as a possibility now

Starts from the top kroenke doesn't care about Arsenal and maybe when he does it'll be to late.

Took Glazers a year of Moyes to realise how much they mucked up in terms of spending.

I'm aware? Your post at the time was suggesting that their issue was not spending, and I'm suggesting that even with the spending they did after that point in time nothing has improved.

Yeah I would say so but we still had players with work rate at least. That’s a big factor. You could see the players looking bereft of any effort against brentford.

To be honest I think they'll be fine against Norwich, but still think they're a big risk in terms of a top half finish.

I recall how contentious this thread was from the outset, it’s been vindicated since. And never really thought the situation would plummet to where Arsenal currently find themselves either.

There’s been so many “firsts” and new “records” for Arsenal in the last year or two. From being defeated by certain teams, to the number of losses at home, number of matches failed to score in etc and so on.

To now be sitting in 20th after 3 consecutive losses, not even scoring a goal, it really is an unbelievably dire situation. With no immediate signs of abating it either, with the lack of footballing knowledge and experience at key positions across the club.

Norwich comes at a good time for Arsenal, they desperately need three points and they should get those against the Canaries.
