Sounded like Stern and Mia thought it was a prank or the guy was lying for say the first half of it, and then realizing it might be true, started grillingWow ... that was so interesting. The hosts got more information out of him than the police would have got and they asked all the right questions.

Yep, there was a point when Stern started thinking if true i gotta dig for clues.Agree, Stern was at the point of knowing it was true when he asked 'Have you got any tattoos?' That was for identification purposes.
I'm going to listen to this again later when it's a bit quieter. There's a few things that jumped out, one was when he admitted to killing first when he was sixteen years old. Serial killers more commonly start much earlier than we tend to think imo.

But im personally 50:50 on whether he really was a serial killer or not. Sometimes people call up or admit to being a killer just for attention. There were a few things Clay said, or the way he said them, that made me think he was making stuff up on the fly.
Said at end of video the FBI took the tapes off Stern, but to this day no one has ever been caught for said murders. They didn't catch him? There was one that rang in to radio a while back, I think it was the 'Weepy Voiced Killer' and he confessed. They got him iirc. I'll look it up later.

When i get a chance later too ill try researching more about this case, posting links etcOh, I missed that bit. Doesn't matter, it sounded legit to me.
In 1997 "Clay the Serial Killer" told The Howard Stern Show that the NOPD's main suspect in serial killings was "a black police officer".At this point, nothing has been disclosed of Gant's fate afterward; whether or not there was a DNA match to the two aforementioned murders and/or the other 22 victims of the serial killer is unknown. It should be noted that a sketch of the killer was drawn in 1992 after the first six murders; the sketch depicted a large, muscular African-American man in his 30's, which matched Gant's physical description.
The suspect has been identified in a police sketch as a large, muscular black man in his 30s. Richard Pennington, chief of the New Orleans police, said that a police officer was a suspect, but he refused to identify him.
The link to a police officer was made last April when Sharon Robinson, a casino coin-changer, and her friend, Karen Iverster, were murdered. Robinson's boyfriend was a police officer called Victor Grant, who has denied any wrongdoing.
Surely some knows his voice. Does'nt appear to be trying to alter it at all. I know i could tell all my mates, brothers, cousins, even workmates voice's
