OK, this was very tough!!
Tried to make it realistic as possible with what teams are actually trying to do (Coll and WB getting points this year, STK wanting picks this year, GC happy to move out of this years draft a bit), but also had to add some players that might not move, like Hunt.

Ok, I’m bored on the train to work, so here’s a random Freo based one for a laugh.

Freo trade Cerra & Future 3rd for 6 & 25 (Carlton)

Freo trade 6 & Future 2nd for Neale & 47
(Brisbane)

Freo trade Lobb & 8 for 3 & 22
(Gold Coast)

Freo trade 3 for 7 & 16
(Richmond)

Freo trade 25 & 27 for 15 & Future 2nd
(Dogs)

Freo trade 22 for Clark and 30
(Geelong)

Freo take 7,15,16,30,47 to draft.
gain Neale, Clarke & future 2nd (dogs)
Lose Cerra, Lobb, 27, Future 2nd, future 3rd

Hard work keeping track & fair haha

edit - late addition

Freo trade 7 & 16 for Jackson
(Melb)

edited finish
Freo take 15,30,47 to draft.
gain Neale, Jackson, Clark & future 2nd (dogs)
Lose Cerra, Lobb, 27, Future 2nd, future 3rd
Gee, you should get bored more often. If only some List Managers would too.
From a Lions perspective it looks fair.
I could see the Suns seriously look at that Lobb deal - as a key experienced fwd to help King and one that could ruck and they still take pick 8 and 19 to the draft.
You might need to throw in pick 47 in the Clark deal as I'm not sure if Geel would settle for a 8 pick upgrade.

haha not sure my boss would enjoy that.

geelong can have tucker with the pick upgrade

Brisbane - Freo - Essendon

Brisbane give,
Neale & Pick 18
Get Dylan Shiel & Pick 8

Freo Give
Adam Cerra, Pick 8
Get - Lachie Neale & pick 11

Essendon Give
Dylan Shiel + pick 11
Get - Adam Cerra + pick 18
If you left out Dylan Shiel and put in his place, say, a house brick, then this deal gets closer to the mark.

Whoever gave you 7 for Mitchell. Not an elite mid, 29 next year and coming off a broken leg.

And I don’t want to hear about Saad or Shiel or O’Meara. They were terrible trades.

Top 10 picks shouldn’t be given away for anyone other than the absolute cream of the comp.

Great effort I reckon, chuck in a F3 from Geelong to Brisbane and I reckon that’s adds that little kicker Brisbane might want that evens it up

'Coming off a broken leg'

He has played every game over the past 2 years

'not an elite mid'

AA squad of 40 this year.

Posted this on the hawks board the other day for a bit of a laugh. Who did I rip off the most?

Pick 24 + 56 for Battle + Pick 46
Mitchell for Pick 7
Pick 5 for Cerra
Ceglar for Pick 47
Pick 21 + 46 for Brander + Pick 29
Gunston for Pick 33 + Future 2nd
Pick 29 + 47 for Coffield + Pick 56
Howe + Pick 56 for Pick 31 + 67
Pick 31 + 33 + 62 for Lynch + Pick 34 + 39
O'Brien for FA Band 4 (Pick 38)
Pick 34 + 38 + 40 (1436) for Pick 15 + 70(1151)

Picks 7, 15, 67, 70

So pretty much we sell Lynch for slightly more than pick 62 lol? Why wouldn't we just hand Lynch over to WBD for Lapinski?

Ok, I’m bored on the train to work, so here’s a random Freo based one for a laugh.

Freo trade Lobb & 8 for 3 & 22
(Gold Coast)
Yes of course GC would pay the equivalent of pick 9 (points wise) for Rory Lobb…

interesting that freo fans think his contract status boosts his value

whereas GC fansconsider that overpayed anchor around the neck a negative factor.

I’d be willing to part with pick 19 or 22 if Freo were able to chip in a bit of salary (ie 150k of the 700k) and that’s about it.

That's more "meh" than hatred for us. Mozzie is highly likely to be delisted anyway

You know murdoch just retired right?

7 for Titch and the Tiges should just shut up shop.
Yep, agree. Will not happen. We gave up #6 for Prestia who was 23 at the time and a dynamic line-breaker.

Mitchell has been great for the Hawks, so I'm not going to say anything to denigrate his contributions there, but he's simply not for us for a number of reasons.

I know it’s not serious.
Not too far off some trades I’ve heard suggested though.

trouble is the actual value of player (+ their associated contract) is very different from asking price.

- the giving team don’t want to lose their player in contract so they can ask for more

- the receiving team is forced to pay the player at major overs because they signed a contract 200k/year above their worth.
- contracts mean nothing when players can force a trade halfway through.
so I’d say lobbs value is actually less because of the ridiculous contract he’s on. But as freo don’t want to lose him. They can charge more.

receiving team effectively be double overpaying for what his value actually is to satisfy freo requests.

I hope it means we do not trade for him.

We might be dumb but even we wouldn’t trade for a RFA.

I honestly think he’d go quite well up there. But I wouldn’t be giving up pick 3 haha.
not to say we wouldn’t take it either ;)
