Only have to watch a few of his games to realise that he really shouldn’t have been playing at all unfortunately. He collects possessions, but rarely does anything with it and doesn’t defend - a huge disappointment this year. I know he’s just had newborn twins this year, so that could’ve easily impacted but not good. But there’s a few who you could question their spot tonight in evidence.

You watch more than I do - so will take your word for it. Don’t think Geelong are gone just yet. Probably end of the road for a few but there is genuine talent coming through the ranks. Tough loss and best of luck next year.

Mate seriously? Really? What would you suggest Dangerfield do in that game? In a midfield that got unequivicolly hammered. Utterly hammered. He had the most metres gained, second on the field for contested possessions, third for possessions, ranked highest for clearances.

Someone who had never watched AFL ever in their life could have watched that game and gone ‘why is that guy in 35 the only one doing anything?’

It's the regularity in which you win 16, 17, 18, 19 games in the H&A season and then go to water in the finals that entertains people.

You almost beat (and should've beaten) Melbourne in August. You beat Port in Adelaide in June. Yet no one is surprised that both teams beat you comfortably in finals. It's bizarre.

It is truly bizarre. From 2012-2021, Geelong’s H&A win/loss against the teams they’ve played in finals is 72%. Away from GMHBA it’s 65%. So their finals record has little to do with the quality of opposition. And in so many finals Geelong are just obliterated from early in the game …. It is honestly beyond explanation.
