Mate, I’m taking my John Baird No 27 Player worn jumper and and getting Billy Hartung to present it to him.

Haha my bad. I thought the same was saturday :drunk:
God I'm going to miss footy in the off season

With no good free agents leaving this year means our live pick 20 at the start of the second round won’t get pushed back
Not prior to the draft due to free agency, but with F/S and academy bids it will likely go out to at least 22 and possibly even 24+ depending on where bids come for Andrew, Fahey and the St Kilda academy players.

Yeah true will miss out on the academy players

but will still have the first pick of the second round which will occur on night 2 of the draft
Which teams will offer overs to trade up to it

Isn’t the fahey the only academy player out of those that can be matched on the first 20

Bids for academy players can only be matched outside of the top 20 so those players are free to be drafted as usual. Andrew will be earlier, and I've heard Richmond are keen on one of the Saints NGA's. Fahey is expected in the 30's.

We'll go out to 22 with the F/S bids but will only stretch out further if somehow those academy kids are bid on between pick 20 and 21.

Of course, this is with priority picks as known, ie. 19 to GC and nothing for us.

Unfortunately Gold Coast's pick is the first of the second round and ours will be second. Our pick may still be highly sought after though, depending on who's still on the board.

Yep, Fahey is the only one in the top 20. Andrew is expected to go higher and then Melbourne couldn't match. But, for example, if he was bid on at 21, then Melbourne could match and our pick would drop back another one.

Agree with all that, but I have seen various rankings with Fahey a fair bit higher than that e.g. eDPS has him at 17. All part of the variability in rankings this year due to lack of exposed form I guess.

Suns compo pick is the first pick of the 2nd night.

If our pick is so highly sought after why would we not just keep it ourselves and grab the slider that other teams are so interested in getting with our 2nd pick. Just wondering.
