when I think famous grand finals 1910 doesn't quite spring to the front of my mind

Nor any of the 7 Grand Finals played between 1927 and 1930 - when Collingwood had a rule that allowed them to challenge the winner of the Grand Final, or demand a do-over and ignore the result of the Grand Final and play it again.

He also didnt find Hawthorn's 3-peat in the modern era, or Richmond winning the 1st Grand Final held outside of Victoria.

Delete 2008 a stinker filled with walk it over the line behinds #weakasthepissontheirjumper
The tactic of rushing behinds was peculiar but Thompson had no response and Geelong butchered so many of their opportunities. One of the more memorable grand finals IMO.

2020 was a garbage grand final.

It took Richmond a little while to adjust to Vlaustin being knocked out, combined with the shortened quarters the scores looked closer than it was at half-time.
Third quarter Dangerflog hides in the forward pocket while Richmond's midfield goes ballistic and the game is over.

The game sucked and the result was never in doubt.

Not surprised you skipped 2018...

To me it’s the iconic moments which make a Grand Final memorable. Ones that come to mind.

1970 Carltons comeback and Jesalenko you beauty the mark.

1977 Grand Final draw. The first Grand Final to be televised live in Melbourne finished with Twiggy Dunnes huge pack mark and goal at the 32 minute mark to draw the game.

1979 Wayne Harmes tap in from the boundary.

1984 Essendon last quarter comeback and Leon Bakers blind turn and goal to put Essendon in front.

1989 Mark Yeates hit on Dermot, Dermot spitting blood then moments later mark and goal.

1993 Michael Longs run and goal with Silvagni claiming touched.

2005 Leo Barry you star. Match saving mark.

2008 Stuart Dews heroics in the third to break open the game. Two goals. Two assists in less than five minutes.

2010 Grand Final draw. Brendan Goddards Mark and the Stephen Milne bounce.

2018 Dom Sheed match winning goal.

2005 was the swans drought breaker. 96 we lost to North

well, it broke the "making a grand final" drought. had to get that one out of the way first. as far as famous moments in that game it's hard to go past glenn freeborn's second quarter, and the awarding of the only gold premiership cup.
