Key Off-Season Dates
This is a comprehensive list including dates for draft combines, list lodgements, delisted free agency windows and return to train dates. I had to collate these from three different club websites because the AFL is lazy af and doesn't have it on their website, so thought it might be helpful to share:

FAQs & Resources Thread

It has an index at the top with threadmarks so it's easy to find what you're looking for – or easier than scrolling through 250 pages of AFL Rules, Regulations and CBA pdfs anyway.

These sorts of questions are all answered along with a bunch of other resources made by posters from across BigFooty (feel free to add to it!):

I'd think a 3rd rounder tbh, we're not bad with our good will trades and I doubt he's any more best 22 than Riccardi
We have to be a chance to get 34 (or whatever it is for him)
That would be enough points for Fahey most likely.
We may prefer it coming next year and than it may be a future 3rd

Port dont have a pick between 16 and 60 this year, so I think anything we get from them directly is next year

Well, that changes that :)
Didn't realise they had traded out the 2nd and 3rd round picks

Expect 16 to be for Dawson. and a future pick for us

Ok. Hopefully then that gives us the chance to bring 2022 1st rounder into this year. Maybe say a 2022 2nd Rounder for Finlayson.

We can package 13 up with 2021 1st round and see how far up the draft order we can get either before the end of trade period or on the night.

Outside chance we walk away with Callaghan, Mac Andrew & Fahey (2 out of 3 would be near guaranteed - no risk from those pains in the bum Swans or GC)

The TOJ news is a bit of a shock but thinking it is likely to happen and he will be a fringe player at Port unless he is motivated and has a good pre-season. Port are stacked for talls so he could be playing a lot of SANFL and i do hope they take all his salary

A couple of players of interest would be Clurey or Lienert the latter drafted from Sturt so it might take a lot for him to move but a 2 year contract could get it done. Clurey played for the Murray bushrangers before being drafted so closer but no strong links to a GWS region

Either of them should be discussed in any trade for TOJ imo but dependant on salary cap space the club may go for the cheaper option although Clurey would be a great get as he could play a more lockdown role and a good age profile, 28 at the start of next season and 110 games played

I'd be pretty content with Port taking his salary and just getting a later round pick in return whether thats this year or next year. Not quite sure we'd even use the pick but could go towards bidding for Fahey.

What about

Port - Finlayson ... GWS - Ports 2nd 2022
GC - 13 & 1st 2022 from GWS ... GWS - 3 & 55

Draft night - Callaghan & Gibcus & Fahey in the bag. Plus Port 2nd 2022

GC get to split 3 and have 13 on a ready made player with GWS 1st 2022 up their sleeve.

It's creative I'll give you that, but I'm fine with going into the draft with our 2 picks and bidding on Fahey. Don't think we have to do anything too much we're in a good position at 2 and if things go our way we could land a really quality player at 13 as well as Fahey.

Cant imagine GCS going through with that - i think the only way to get pick 3 off GCS this yr (unlikely in a trade with us) is in exchange for a young gun or an established star in their prime with leadership qualities - dont think theyd be wanting more draft picks imo

Yeah I think Tigers will get GC pick anyway. Tigers need to rebuild their defensive structures and Gibcus suits them 100%. Think Tigers and GC will rack up a few deals this year.

I’m disappointed in losing TOJ more so for his potential though. I don’t think he is best 22 and to not have his contract (I doubt it is that big anyway - he shipped himself last time he was off contract only to come crawling back)on the books would be a big win. 5 AFL ready key forwards on top of a potential resting ruck is too many.

There may be some cultural concern that with both Zac Williams and TOJ gone, Bobby Hill feels somewhat isolated.

You understand that indigenous Australians are culturally diverse right? As in there are multiple dialects and origin stories. Your comment is akin to “all Asians are the same”

add to that he now has a baby with all his family on the other side of the country.

He hasnt returned to Sydney yet, many havent though.

Would hope that Lambert's are putting there welfare support hat back on and are supporting the young couple as much as possible.

Jarrod Cameron announces his own departure?
Young West Coast small forward Jarrod Cameron is contracted for 2022 but may have just announced his own departure from the club.

The 21-year-old posted to Instagram a photo alongside teammates Willie Rioli and Liam Ryan with the caption "Thanks for the time."

Word out of the Eagles at the moment is Cameron has not requested a trade or been delisted, does he know something they don't?

If the concern is Bobby feeling isolated (though I wouldn't go as far to saying that personally), I wouldnt be adverse to going after Jarrod Cameron - just my excuse for the club to pursue him because I really liked him in his draft year. Like Bobby, Cameron has lots of creativity and goal sense up forward with arguably more defensive pressure in my opinion. Both are still at a stage where they drift in and out of games though but given I cant imagine his trade currency would be high, would be happy to take a gamble on him.

It will be interesting with what Riccardi chooses to do
I would like him to stay and if he knuckles down over pre-season he could be a best 22 at either end of the ground he just needs to put in the work
If he leaves the pick would be used for Fahey likely and enable the club to maybe draft 2 talls
Surely if Finlayson heads then the club must do everything possible to keep Riccardi?

A tall setup of HH-Hogan-Sproule-Briggs isn't going to scare many teams you wouldn't think.

Thought I read that Riccardi was shopping himself around but there was limited interest

Reckon he stays. If he doesn't we look very light up front
