How is it stupid. There's enough evidence to show that he can't really contribute as even a number 2 guy on a championship contender. Most GMs understand that, hence the lack of offers.

Speaking of unrealistic expectations though, Simmons has said he only wants to go to GSW, LAL or LAC. Why would any of those teams want him based on what he's dished up?

He'll end up going to some scrub team where he can lead a team and be a good stats, bad team guy.

Too old young

Simmons could be a good fit for us.

We'd only need him to pass, rebound and play D.

The stuff he does well.

Dennis Rodman averaged 7.3 points per game over his whole career. Rodman never averaged over 6 at the Bulls and that includes the season Pippen cracked the shits.

And Rodman was a key player in 5 championships.

Maybe we do need to concentrate on the stuff Simmons does well 🤔

Rodman was known for turning up when it mattered. Also was never a max player (though one random season he got paid well).

Where does Simmons end up?

No chance he suits up for Philly come start of season

Sacramento - Barnes and Hield
Portland - McCollum and Covington
San Antonio - Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, Keldon Johnson, two future first-round picks
Minnesota - D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Jaden McDaniels, future first-round pick
Golden State - Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman, Moses Moody, future first-round pick

DLo isn't being moved. We've reiterated it again and again and again and again, not to mention it doesn't make sense.

Simmons coming to Minny is dependent on Philly being willing to accept an assortment of McDaniels, Beasley, first rounders, and Beverley/Prince, unless a third team gets involved. If that's not enough then it's just not going to happen.

Would D Lo and Simmons work?

DLo played off ball quite a bit last season anyway while we ran play through KAT/Rubio. I'm on record as not being 100% sure about a Simmons fit but there's absolutely no doubt he makes us better - provided we keep a couple of shooters around.

Rockets and John Wall looking to move him on.

Pretty happy with this considering some of the young guards we really need to prioritize for minutes.

Gordon is one of those players where the idea of him is far better than he actually is

Denver needed to use the $ though so who cares. Gordon should give his agent a good raise though, deserves it
