Hated Voss as a player, celebrated his demise as a coach almost as much as I did Hird’s.

if he gets the job it will be the straw that breaks this camel’s back

It appears the club gave Clarkson every chance to come on board.
In the end, he didn’t want to coach Carlton and has probably done us a favour.

I don’t like the style of bloke Ross Lyon is and i don’t like the way he went about campaigning for the job.
I’m pleased the club passed on him.

Michael Voss wants the Carlton job.
He’s always wanted the Carlton job.
Like Diesel, he’s tasted rejection but picked himself up, charged back into the fight and come out the other side.

He’ll have learnt a lot in his journey and be better for it second time around.
If we can build a serious football department around him, with the list primed to go, the future is untapped.

We now have in place an elite CEO, a passionate, committed, hard nosed football director and a universally respected/regarded fitness/conditioning boss who will soon have access to brand new state-of-the-art facilities.

The jungle drums are beating Scarlet and Lapin may be set to join Voss at Carlton with Power already in place.
A Kingsley or Harvey as senior assistant would round out an unconditional panel of high achieving WINNERS who would set and drive standards our list needs.

I’m excited and onboard with what’s unfolding at Carlton.
It feels good …
As positive a take as I've read, great stuff. Seems this Poorman53 has a permanent red thumb. Some people prefer bleating over any thoughts of club success.

Unfortunately not.

Was never in the Clarko camp. He's burnt out for now.

Ross was the perfect fit.
Now Ross is the perfect fit? When just recently people here were dead against him. Such a crazy place this.

I have been on the fence.
This post is has me swaying towards positivity.
Maybe you should be our coach?
Good post.

Not according to that NFL expert that everyone rates. He says the coach must coach! Lead. Take charge.
Have a look at the recent Premiership coaches, Hardwick=Strong Leadership; Clarko= Strong Leadership; Bevo= Strong Leadership all will defend their players to whomever suggests otherwise, look at Bevo and K Cornes.
Teague is not that coach, but Voss would be, my only concern is his tactical nous, hence the likes of Lappin/Power/Scarlett would add value to the coaches box.

This place isn't a hive mind. People have differing opinions.... Very crazy indeed for some to want one guy and others not. Unheard of even.
Point missed but not unexpected from the red thumb brigade.

Nah. I just don’t agree. I don’t see our best path to success through Voss and assistants from Geelong. Geelong have been widely criticised for their outdated game plan. Would prefer some lesser names that are driving tactical changes in the game.

I could highlight the same people that red thumb my posts but I won’t go there.

None of those 3 came into ready built teams either (Dogs debateable for various reasons). Voss has an advantage there that may make up any deficit there.

All 3 have had to assist with hard squad decisions and clear out junk. Voss has already proved he's on board with that :D

There's no reason that Voss cannot succeed. At the least, I cannot see us going backwards. Hopefully the worst case is we play decent football and make, and hopefully win, some finals so we are relevant again.
