Twomey rates Roberts and Goater around our pick 16.
JVR has some things to like, he’s a solid mark in the backlines and knows how to get to the drop of the ball and protect it with his frame.Jacob van Rooyen. Coming good at the back end of the year after dealing with glandular fever during the year. That will slow you down.
I've a suspicion will move up the order on draft night.

Towering forward ready to show his wares in Academy hitout
WA draft prospect Jacob van Rooyen trained with Fremantle earlier this year as he chases his AFL dreamwww.afl.com.au

But I see him being something like Brennan Cox at afl level.
Deficiencies and low ceiling. Lacks hurt factor and plays half back. Bad combination. As someone who only starts paying attention to the potential draftees around this time of year, I don’t understand why Jase Burgoyne has slipped so far. A year ago, he seemed to be considered a top 30-40 pick at least. His few games with the SANFL senior side impressed me and he seems to put up high numbers consistently at U18 level.
Is him sliding a function of his form, deficiencies and perceived low ceiling or just that others in the draft pool are much better?
In other words are we just getting a less injury prone version of his older brother, who we’ll pick up simply because of the family connection and feel-good factor, or can the kid still play?
Ouch. Why bother then?Deficiencies and low ceiling. Lacks hurt factor and plays half back. Bad combination.

Because he's an inside outside mid being played out of position to keep him under the radar.Ouch. Why bother then?

We should be filling our rookie list with beanpole rucks, short mobile rucks and the next best tall KPF (that we can then try and turn into a defender if the forward line doesn't work out). He's only around Pasini's height, isn't he? I would like a taller defender, might need to be imaginative with a late pick mobile ruckman who won't be an AFL ruck.
he’s about 194/195cm from memory but is a bit chunky through the body in a good way. And he is pretty good at using his body down back on the limited sample ive seen. He’s definitely tall enough really. I just don’t think he’s more than an average backman he drops into the hole and takes marks. Could be a solid chb for a team but don’t reckon he’s better than solid. He's only around Pasini's height, isn't he? Burgs is an accumulator. Like that he can find the pill. I really like his 360 degree movement, but that’s also a curse cause he always looks 360 degrees. Really doesn’t take off and run and carry as much as he should, doesn’t always move the ball forward as far as he should. As someone who only starts paying attention to the potential draftees around this time of year, I don’t understand why Jase Burgoyne has slipped so far. You've seen him play. Kid has jets, lateral movement, tackles, can get 40 possessions in a game and multiple clearances. Skinny but tall enough, around 185cm.
Could be an absolute steal.
Just like SPP got so much better. Oh wait.
Apparently North want to come over and meet the parents and do the full sales pitch and have been waiting for Covid to settle down so they can come over.Horne Francis says he has spoken to 11 clubs but North haven't spoken to him yet.
That's wierd.
Like WCE and Geelong. We need to hire a draft tampering manager. The role of the draft tampering manager will be to identify the best 15 and 16 year olds in sa and secretly pay them not to play until the draft where we draft them late and say we can’t believe they slid so far. There’s so many options, fake injuries play basketball. We should be hiding kids right now.
