He was playing with Goldy doing ruck work. I heard some North supporters talking about this "Cherry" guy who was a promising ruck and worked out it was him. They have big wraps on him. One was suggesting that keeping Goldy was a mistake because Xerri has more long term upside and they were talking like he was a future star.
Are you saying they think he will be a gun :p
He looks like Clav's brother the way he plays

Read in an article Tom Campbell was preferred over Xerri as well. Campbell played 9 games. I assume that it's because Campbell was a better foward option (6 goals from 9 games) and can go back from memory. If Xerri is much chop, might've been a mistake playing a 33 and 29 year old ahead of him.

But that said, they are looking at Callum Coleman-Jones as a forward ruck and have Jacob Edwards to come in eventually also.

You mean with arms fully extended , the commentator that came up with that stupid term needs to be b*tch slapped , never seen a player jump 20 mtrs high yet

Spermot was big on that term.

They seemed to be talking about him like a certainty to be a good ruckman. I've got no idea about him other than that, I have kept an eye on him since and saw one of their games this year that he played in and hardly noticed him. He's going okay in the VFL by the sound of it.

I'm pretty bullish on this potential pickup in Xerri, he seems like a young Ryder style ruck and if he can get even half as good it helps us make marshall the second tall in the fwd line alongside King.

TBH Marshall has been a better forward target (marking wise) than king at times and i think those two would be better than the King Twins up forward as Marshall can clearly hold down a number 1 ruck roll too so is a perfect switch.

26 and 36 disposal games are pretty damn impressive for someone playing in the ruck at VFL level.

Much more impressive highlights package there as well. Clunking good marks, some deft tapwork and good work at ground level.

Is also coming into that age bracket where those who play ruck tend to really start to blossom.

Could be a very decent upgrade on Hunter, which we badly need.
