Yet I've heard several recruiters speak to Twomey and they seemed quite bullish about this draft especially re midfielders and the depth, they mostly thought it was a poor year for talls more generally, Andrew Caruso in particular was very bullish.

what I had read was that this was seen as a super shit, low grade draft class. Really bad.

but who knows? I don’t

I think depth wise especially mids it's quite good, definitely a dearth of potential top end talls on paper, 4 or 5 small forwards that look the goods as well Judson Clarke, Paul Curtis, Cooper Murley and Jesse Motlop the more recognised ones.

I quite like a lad from the NT myself that's been down playing for West Adelaide this season Ronny Fejo Jr, has some serious wheels, great agility and great composure to go with his exceptional dual sided foot skills, he's been playing wing/half forward but looks a natural small forward/winger at AFL level. Take a squiz and see what ya reckon, hasn't had any fanfare at all from the media draft gurus which I find astounding, yet they're doing cartwheels over Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera.

The Head recruiters that I've heard interviewed including Andrew Caruso and Kinnear Beatson seem to think it's OK.

That is some highlight reel. Can we hide him away? Hopefully Andrew McLeod is in Fejo's and the clubs ear! Geelong, now with Betts as a part of their coaching staff, might try to snare him?

I'd assume we have no real interest in either player, at least that's my gut feel.

Reid all but said at a presser last week we weren’t interested. When asked about them directly he said “we have committed to Borlase and Newchurch as our cat B rookies” which I took to mean we are not going to pursue either of the boys this year

This announcement regarding no nomination confirms what he already indicated

Looks a talent off that vision, someones gone to a bit of effort there with that video.

A minor point, but if I were his coach, I'd be encouraging him to work on his left foot. Most players tend to turn to their dominant side with ball in hand, Fejo appears comfortable turning to either, which buys him a lot of time, but he seemed to always want to kick off his right, which is fine at SANFL reserves, but at AFL level they'll cotton onto that quick and he'll get polaxed.

As a player who's game is clearly carrying and delivering the footy, I think it would elevate his game significantly to be able to competently use his left in that situation.

He kicked it once or twice off his left in the vision, the accuracy wasn't there but the power and technique seemed good, so I don't reckon it'd take him much practise to bring it up to the level.

Anyway, would be very happy to take a punt on such a player.

The Torrens University SA U19 team has been finalised for its final NAB AFL National Championship game against Western Australia at Thebarton Oval on Sunday.

Kicking off at 1.30pm,

Torrens University SA U19 Team v WA - SANFL
Cannot work out why Central's Ruck/Forward Saxon Evans didn't make the SA Squad, if he's not a better prospect than over-ager WWT Ruck Zac Phillips I'll give up.

Alex Condon will obliterate Zac Phillips.

So according to Rendell, both the crows and the hawks are super keen on Finn Callaghan. Rendell also believes that GWS want Mac Andrew and GC want Hobbs so Callaghan is likely to be ours with pick 4 IF the draft order stays the same. He then says Hawthorns fire sale is to get the extra capital to get above us to get Callaghan

4 for 5 and Koschitzke

They can have pick 4… and Callaghan.

For their 2021 and their 2022 1st round picks..

Take it or leave it suckers.

Nothing surprising there. Blind Freddy can see that Callaghan is someone that we would be pretty keen on.

what about 4 for 5 and Wingard - if the hawks really really want Callaghan??
Yeah… id do that too.

Callaghan semms a rather large flight risk to me.. and tbh there’s also no absolute certainty that he will be still on the board at pick 4 anyways

Wingard instantly improves our one dimentional midfield.. and I reacon he’s still hot a good 4 or so years left in him.

Would rather my first option.. their 2021 and 22 firsts for it!..

I think, I reckon, he doesn't know but needs to say something.

The last person anyone would tell loose lips Rendell is who they'd zeroed in on now he's a media gun for hire.
Slightly off topic but I've wondered previously if Rendell was the one who initially blabbed the Tippett 2nd rounder clause to Caroline Wilson. Not as part of any nefarious scheme to bring down Trigg of course, just his routine blatant honesty. And that was why we were so keen to punt him when his comment to Misfud popped up.

I don't know but he can certainly be very free flowing at times.
