She has an interest, which isn't tied to business profits for billionaires.

Greta represents the little guy, it's a shame you cant see that.

Punch up, not down.

Is she really representing the little guy? Or is she actually adding to "business profits for billionaires" within the climate change industry?

The little guy in London right now can't buy fuel to fill their car and can only stare blankly at empty supermarket shelves.

That's due to Brexit logistics, they are having issues importing truck drivers.

Trust the parents are around to pick up the pieces ....

She's actually an adult now, 18. Impressive what she has achieved, her parents should be proud.

You know her name. Some obscure schoolkid from the other side of the world is in your heads.

That's pretty powerful.

The funny thing is, Newscorp did this to you. Not Greta.

No Xi at Glasgow. It's like Watergate without Nixon. Best to cancel.
Yeah i wouldnt be ruling that out yet. Xi likes to make a surprise entrance so its all about him.

and if he doesnt come its likely cause he his scared of covid (he hasnt left china since the pandemic began and the rumour is he is terrified of catching covid) so it doesnt mean china wont be making a statement at the panel if he aint there. China sees climate as one of the few areas where they can get the rest of the world on side.

Is mining it and selling it but not using it ourselves to provide base-load power ok then?

It's just that other countries seem to want it and are prepared to pay top dollar. And not just for coal.

Australia is among the top five producers of most of the world's key mineral commodities, being:
  • the world's leading producer of bauxite, alumina, rutile and tantalum.
  • the second largest producer of uranium, lead, ilmenite, zircon and lithium.
  • the third largest producer of iron ore, and zinc.
Is mining these things ok?

How long is coal going to last in Australia?

1,231 years

Coal Reserves in Australia

Australia has proven reserves equivalent to 1,231.3 times its annual consumption. This means it has about 1,231 years of Coal left (at current consumption levels and excluding unproven reserves).

So what is the country going to base the economy on?

I'm not sure if a fossil fuels stance of "get ****ed what about us?!" is going to cut the musard on the international stage lol

Australia is being humiliated internationally over this, and rightfully so.

Worst fires in Australia historically - will apparently be normal in 20 years

These sort of alarmist statements have been made time and time again over the last 50 years. None have ever eventuated.

Have you heard of the boy who cried wolf?

PS: Manhattan is meant to be under water by now. Can you check for me?

Angus Taylor assures he is working furiously on finding a way to sell of any rebates the Nats can garner for farmers as compensation for carbon commitments to a family owned offshore company, at arm's length of course, for a massive windfall, for him, but at arm's length in a purely accidental way.

Called on coal to keep the folk warm after the wind didnt blow.
Awesome. Which car manufacturer makes a coal engine?
Surely this will be one of Scomo's renewable innovations.
I know he is trialling "ducking Witches" as part of the NDIS scheme, but none of his "business partners" have been able to get a monopoly on ponds yet.

And there is not evidence it's all getting far worse?

Let's hope your right about the supercharged future regular fires

In the summer of 1974-1975 (southern hemisphere), Australia suffered its worst recorded bushfire, when 15% of Australia's land mass suffered "extensive fire damage". Fires that summer burnt an estimated 117 million hectares (290 million acres; 1,170,000 square kilometres; 450,000 square miles).

Alarmism and exaggeration don’t help anyone. Did you know that tourists don’t want to come here because they were told the whole of Australia was burnt to a crisp? Bushfires are part of this land and always have been. We should be wiser now in how we deal with them.

How many rainforests burnt in 74-75? Did newscorp blame it on arsonists or greenies?

How much land has been cleared since then?
