These weaknesses for Roberts just make him sound like a truely horrible prospect that will not translate at all to AFL level and faster paced game.

Weaknesses:
Prone to rushing under pressure and bombing long by foot for territory
Needs to take more time after a mark or free kick to assess his options before moving the ball on
Would benefit from lowering his eyes and looking to hit up shorter targets more oftenI
Limited speed
Limited time and space in traffic

Hope we go for one of Sonsie, Erasmus, Draper or Goater as we need a midfielder and not a flanker or Van Rooyen as a key defender.

Without doing the math, it looks like Daicos will chew up 5-6 picks, and Darcy 3-4 picks.

Then there’s Fahey, Owens, Windhager who may all go earlier than J Burgoyne, and GWS & St Kilda all have throw away picks ahead of our 63.

Can Burgoyne last to pick 50 and we squeeze in another draft pick ahead of him? Maybe a Leek Aleer?

I've seen several compare Draper to Gray, how accurate is that?
Not remotely

Matthew Johnson a chance now...
I’m not convinced at all by Johnson. He screams meh to me. Should be going In the 15-30 range of a decent draft.
Not sold that the ‘looks to have time even though he isn’t quick’ works as well at afl level. Nor do I think he is a great contested ball winner or inside player so much as just ‘okay’

I like Mac Andrew for pick 12. Develop him as a KPD.

Apparently we're interviewing Kade Dittmar on Monday. Any ideas of his range?
I would be horrified by Andrew.

he’s an amazing athlete. Not a footballers arseh*le at the moment.

if Someone teaches him to be a footballer then he could be great, I’ll be ****ed if I want to be the team that pays the high price to play that hard to win lottery
Dittmar would be a late ish pick I would have thought.

I've only seen the 2 games, plus some other bits and pieces.

Do you think Draper could play purely in the middle?? He's much more dynamic.

Can we take whoever it was who apparently plays like Scott Pendlebury? I would love a Scott Pendlebury.

Sonsie, Draper, Erasmus, Johnson, Wanganeen-Milera seem like the Mids around our pick 12

Amiss or Gibcus if we go tall at that pick 12.

Personally wouldnt mind a strong marking key fwd to develop even know fwd stocks are strong, a power marking fwd after charlie next to Georgiades,

So I did the maths, assuming the following:
- no more pick trades
- Darcy bid pick 2
- Daicos bid pick 3
- Fahey bid pick 30
- no other bids likely in that range
- I checked bids later on, and at most they would move our picks by 1, so I ignored them as mostly irrelevant

Outcome:
Bulldogs require 2013 pts, use 23, 43, 44, 45, 52, regain pick 62

our picks: 63, 73, 74 -> 59, 70, 71

Coll require 1787, use 27, 36, 43, 45, regain pick 61

our picks: 59, 70, 71 -> 56, 68, 69

GWS require 411, use 46, 66, deficit of 21 pts for 2022 2nd Rnd Pick

our picks: 56, 68, 69 -> 55, 67, 68

Total 334 points, enough to match a bid on Burgoyne from 35 onwards.

If Owens or Windhager go top 40 then that could bump us up a little higher, but that seems unlikely, and would get us maybe 30 more points (bid match at 33).

So comfortable with that for Jase.

Sonsie is my biggest want - has the tools for what we need (speed, skill, clearance ability), even though he had an injury-interrupted and inconsistent season. Can also impact forward.

For some reason, I've become more and more into Arlo Draper as well. Even in a "down" game like that first one against WA where every SA big name laid an egg, there was something about him, a presence that made him notable and could do things others couldn't. I see him becoming a very good pack player.

Goater has the size and athleticism and has improved greatly over the year.

Johnson has the size and smarts.

Rachele has the X factor.

I think I'd be decently pleased with one of those five.

Yeah, very comfortable with our hand for Burgoyne - do these calculations take into account the father-son discount as well?

Yep. And shifting picks forward as bids are calculated, reintroducing picks with the leftovers.

I was hoping to have a nice table, but it’s way too iterative, only makes sense one step at a time.
