The boss is only 27 so it's good she (we) has time on her side. And in a way, the issues are with me more than her, so it could be a lot worse. The specialist was very confident we would not have issues.

That's what my wife is for mate. :tearsofjoy:

Leaving yourself with plenty of time to look after the dog!

I have a mate with a 4 year old kid. He has not changed a single nappy in his life.

Your kid's about 4 isn't she?

'A mate'.

Watched Black Window for the first time last night and absolutely loved it. Definitely the best and most refreshing Marvel verse movie since the original Guardians of The Galaxy.

Pisses me off we won't ever see Scarlett Johanssen again in the role due to Disney under cutting her true value and worth, can only hope the sexy and talented Florence Pugh can take the reigns somehow.

Big change in policy today with NSW allowing overseas arrivals with proof of vaccination and a negative test to come in without quarantine from 1 November.

Presumably other states to follow when vaccination targets are hit, as planned.

Looks like the cost of home quarantine wasn't worth the benefit which is an interesting rationale.

Yeah I found that interesting.

No quarantine always the end game for vaccinated travelers, home quarantine was partly intended to bridge the gap to no quarantine, allowing a gradual, stepwise transition per the national plan.

Perrottet has decided they’ll skip those steps.

I would have thought it would be retained as an option for higher risk or unvaccinated travelers (noting they’ve retained a very small number of hotel quarantine spots for this cohort). We’ll see.

It wouldn't be worth me coming home if I had to hotel quarantine. Home quarantine and I'll make a trip.

No quarantine even better.

But I think SA where my family is is still hotel.

Unvaccinated travelers will still have to quarantine.

Yes, we could do monitored home quarantine in lieu of hotel quarantine for this group.

For now. SA (and other states) will go down the same path re: relaxing border restrictions including quarantine requirements for vaccinated travellers once they hit the vaccination coverage targets over the next month or so, as planned.

NSW just ahead of the game slightly due to their current outbreak - greater urgency from the public + vaccines being diverted into Sydney during this period.

To be honest, given there are literally tens of thousands of active cases in NSW and Victoria right now, vaccinated overseas arrivals with a negative test are lower risk comparatively (and likely won’t add to the level of risk that already exists in those states).

I acknowledge it's such a dynamic and complex situation in terms of risk with differential vaccination rates within and across states though. Hopefully by 1 November we're in a pretty strong place as a country to deal with any unforeseen impacts from this decision.

I suppose the biggest risk is alternative strains of COVID?
