as long as you are in a position to pass you are protected. i think you lose the 1 step rule but others still protect QB's as long as they are still in a passing stance. ball tucked to run and it wont be called.You dont?

They are not as strict. late hit no longer has the 1 step rule outside the pocket. and often let the 2nd step go. but you have to be in a stance to pass. if the ball is tucked they will call you a runner.I didn't know that. Cam Newton can feel hard done by on multiple occasions.
