His mental health issues have far more to do with it than the physical
Perhaps, though he was doing a lot better with the mental health issues of late I thought. Don't know now with this setback.

If he wanted a long career from here maybe it's time to just focus on the shorter forms of the game but I don't think even that will help.

Unfortunately the lads issues always surface when the pressure and expectation increase and he do isn’t able to deal with that mentally and it plays out physically

As tragic as it will be, can't see Pucovski having much a career. He gets concussed extremely easily now, and all it will take is one short ball hitting his helmet for him to be out of the game and out of the series.

Extremely concerning for his long term health too

Soft spot for Brisbane
Can't we move past Head seriously how many more opportunities does one need? Pattinson won't be picked over the 3 that are in and Jhye is just as good too.
Head was dropped in his mid 20s and has clearly been the best batsman outside of the Test 11 since then.

He's still very young and has been in good form last summer and this. He's clearly the first cab off the rank.

England are saying “please pick him”. Bloke will get 20 then flash at a wide one get out on repeat

They're of course shitting themselves at the prospect of having to bowl at Bryce Street or Usman Khawaja or Marcus Harris or Ben McDermott though.

Least 2 of those might make it Harris is woeful though

And when they fail we just pick someone else new to see what they've got until we're left with Conor McInerney and Charlie Wakim opening for Australia.

More than happy for Street to get a block of games. Can’t be worse than Harris, Bancroft and whatever mug we’ve tried there

Bring Maxi back or at least let him play a few shield games in a row but sadly I think his days of playing test cricket are over
because of this stupid T20 cricket.

fair point but like Cummins at one point was going to be a 25 average batsman, the way he has batted the last couple of years he is almost a bunny, averaging around 10. Its a Broad level drop off
He is still reliable to hang around with a specialist batsman but has just lost the ability to score

I suspect his missed shield games are far less to do with T20 cricket (bar perhaps T20Is) and more ODI cricket.he would have had to straight up say he's taking an extended break from international cricket.

Hard to believe but Maxwell,s last shield game was Oct 18,2019.Reports say he still has ambitions of playing test cricket again but I think highly unlikely with all the T20 and 1 day cricket commitments he has.

Also won’t happen despite how much you push it. Don’t rate Head at all but he’s way ahead of Maxwell

Not sure how you come to that conclusion, pretty hard to compare Maxwell and Head seeing Maxwell has mainly played only T20 and 1 day cricket over the last 2 years or surely you are not saying Head is a better T20 player then Maxwell.

One has shown he can play long innings and it ain’t Maxwell. It’s not as if I rate Head either
