What if they use marijuana in the off-season when it’s not considered performance enhancing? And live in a location where it’s legal?
What if athletes know the rules regarding banned substances and knowingly take them? No one is forcing these guys to play sport for a job. If they don’t like the workplace rules, don’t work there.

Legal in some places for recreational use, but banned on game day as a ped.

I don't know this as a fact, but I highly doubt athletes using it to cheat are sitting round a hookah, lost in obscure Pink Floyd experimental albums.

They would use very small, concentrated amounts to relax and improve their focus.

I am comfortable it's classified as a ped, regardless of some jurisdictions legalising or decriminalising it for personal use.
