Sorry but the league doesn’t need more Sydney teams. Perth is a no brainer tbh
On the whole I would tend to agree though there are some interesting points in their favour - instant brand recognition, over 100 year playing history, existing fan base & infrastructure, financial viability etc..
Bears reveal bold bid to come out of hibernation as NRL’s 18th team
Just weeks after the Dolphins were handed the NRL’s 17th licence, the Bears are making an audacious bid to return to the top flight.
It also looks like the new bid will follow the Dolphins model and will just be known as 'The Bears' - based out of North Sydney but will split their home games between NthSyd Oval and regional NSW (eg Dubbo, Coffs, Wagga, Central Coast, Tamworth)
From an FJGD perspective I do love the bears brand and design tho
