Had no power for like 20 hrs so couldn't watch the game. Sounds like we played like s**t so a good thing I had no power. But hey guys no need to worry our away form will just miraculously improve come playoff time.

Another win at home.

31 points again from Korkmaz.

Will he be a starter now?
Yeah he was against the clippers. Didnt score. Either way it allowed Horford to come off the bench and that worked much better. We are either last or second last for bench scoring from memory. Its time to take a risk, play Horford less, but when he is on the court change his minutes up and play him all the time when Joe rests, but then go to him much more in the post and the pick and roll wih Ben or Richardson. When he is on the court with Embid then he plays more on the perimetre. The replacing starter could pretty much be a rotted depending on form and confidence. Eg Robinson III, Scott or Korkmaz. There is an outside chance Spurs waive Bellenilii. He would be perfect.

Another great performance away. :tearsofjoy: :drunk:

Getting to the point that I wouldn't care if we got rid of Tobias and Al. Al has been useless.
Yep, Al's not suited to the role we are playing him in. Would rather he came off the bench and then we used him more in the post when Embid's not on the court. High or low post.

Might have to bundle himself with a first rounder to get it done.

Reports are that simmons has cut communications with sixers and everything going through his agent.

Sad way to end his time at Philly but only has himself to blame.

A fresh start is what he needs.

Do you blame him though.

Embiid threw him under the bus. Would you wanna be around a team mate like that.

And if he had indications they were selling to the highest bidder (which he may have got directly or via his agent), then again - can you blame him?

JFC, after Ben's insipid, gutless, historically extraordinarily pathetic finals performance, how the heck is any of it on Jo?? Ben threw himself under the bus, backed the bus over himself 4 times, and then did burnouts on himself in the back carpark of the jv rec centre while his 38 year old guidance counsellor and wardrobe assistant filmed it for myspacebookstagram

If i half assed my job and did nothing to try and improve basically saying 'i am what i am' would i have a right to complain when a co worker called me out for it?

Simmons needs to take some responsibility, Embiid was publicly supportive for years. At some point he needs to realise it is on him to do the work.

Oh no, why did this thread come back.

Incomprehensibly bad take (I've unframed that last good post you had Danny boy). The full Embiid quote lays blame on an entire sequence of events that started with Ben passing up an open dunk/layup. So no, the most coddled player in Sixers franchise history who didn't deserve to be (even more than Fultz) wasn't thrown under the bus.

But even if he was, reckon when the team's best player, a top 5er in the league who plays as a two-way dominant center, has had to play his entire career (save for playoff series where for a moment the Sixers looked like they were going to win the chip) with a point guard who has no offensive game outside of 5 feet of the rim, then yeah, he would have every right to be absolutely filthy.

Finding the Sixers once again a little bit depressing. I'm sure we've all backed Ben more than anyone else as Australian Sixers fans but it's impossible now. Sick of making excuses for a guy getting paid that much money, about his commitment to the Australian team, his commitment to getting better and helping our squad get better and overall just his commitment to the game. He alongside Jo held so much hope for Philadelphia Basketball, and Ben so much hope for the future of Australian Basketball. For the former, Ben isolating himself, pushing his trade value even further done has us stuck and honestly it's going to get to a point where he's not going to get us anything and we're going to waste away potentially the very little prime years of a banged of Embiid we have. Dame is not available, neither is Beal and honestly whilst I trust Morey I think this situation has become too complex and too broken to come out of it with a contending team. For the future of Australian basketball, it still looks well and truly on the right path but Ben most definitely could've accelerated a growth of interest and love of the sport.

Geeze I just hope this s**t is sorted soon, I am sick of the talk, and even sicker of the s**t takes about how he was thrown under the bus by Philly.. What a joke, Jo's comment was 100% spot on, Doc had defended Ben forever and was just honest when saying he didn't know if he could be a PG on a championship team.. Like most things the narrative has taken off on twitter etc due to selective quoting but really it wasn't that bad.

I do hope for Ben's sake he goes somewhere where things change for him, I'd start by cutting out his entourage of yes men he surrounded himself with but unlikely he does.

For our sake, let's hope we add something of value, keen to see Maxey though this year and what we can do.. I personally liked Drummond as the C off the bench, should be a better Embiid back up than Dwight... And I really enjoyed Dwight here

Best performance of the very early season so far... Matisse was just unbelievable defensively today. That 2nd block on Reddish was porn haha

As scratchy as we have been, we have also granted had a soft start.. but 4-2, should be 4-1 as that Nets result was just garbage... Drummond is a massive improvement on Dwight, and I loved Dwight off the bench last year, Niang looks a really good pick up, improvement from Furk, Maxey and dare I say it Seth... Sheesh if we sort this Ben situation right we are in a good spot. Not sure he comes back for a long time, but absolutely now expect him to play and at least make himself tradeable.. Daryl pulls the right reign there and we are huge contenders IMO.
Also Jo has been scratchy but starting to build in, just need to keep the big man fit and fresh, banging knee on knee though isn't something you can plan for

I love your optimism but I will be very surprised if Ben plays for Philly ever again.
Yeah you are no doubt right, I just am starting to be MORE hopeful of him at least helping increase his value rather than just sulking.

Who knows though, the mental health issue is a dicey one and I don't want to question it, but far too many lean on it as an out at times I feel so who knows. As a person I hope if he is battling he gets through it, that s**t with his sister wouldn't at all have helped...
I also still do think he is a bit spoilt and entitled and has surrounded himself with yes men

anyway how fantastic was Matisse against Atlanta, and also is it just me or is Trae just so so unlikeable, the opposite of Luka who is super likeable haha
