Bringing campo in over the next few weeks may defeat the purpose of what we are trying to achive this year (inject pace into the side).
Who would we have to drop? Having said that I would love to see him in the side playing well????
Johnno in my opinion is first in line have heard Sheeds may have something against him but I think he would nearly take us to another level???
WHAT DO ALL THE OTHER BOMBER FANS THINK????

I'd rather not see Campo line up again. I never wanted him at the club and I feel dirty when I cheered for him those few times last year that he was actually on the park.

I would prefer to run our younger guys. CYA Campo.

If Campo's form improves, there is no reason why he couldn't fit in. He would easily be in our best 22 if he is in reasonable form. The younger guys would probably like to see him out there too, so they could learn from playing with him, not just training with him.

Would have to agree there, I think it would really defeat the purpose of what we are trying to achive!

Ive said before that i dont think that you can have more then one of Pev,JJ, Heff or Campo in the one team. Mainly because it will slow the development of teh younger players and that they are much the same type of player. You really only need two pill extractors and we have Jobe who needs to play every week and then one od the before mentioned and your set. The only exception would be Campo because he is a winger of sorts. So if he is playing better then Winders or Lovett put him in otherwise he is a depth player for mind.

Campo will probably be delisted at years end with Cole. So why play someone over a kid who most likely then not only has approx 6 months at the club over a kid?

started the SAY NO TO CAMPO 2007 campaign weeks ago lads............

the guy is a kickchasing, undisciplined, frontrunning, downhill runner hack !!!!

glad to see a few fellow astute EFC fans are on the same tram.....

Ill admit I was excited to see him in our colours when he came to the club last season, but from what I have seen of him out on the field...dont think he offers anything other than another player with 3 figures in the games played column.

Can't you just get off your high horse for long enough to see that Campo is good enough to play when he is in form. FFS, he was a gun in his prime. Sure he is probably past that now, but so is Hirdy, and I don't se you calling for his head.

If his form demands selection, then pick him. It's that simple.

Right now, our goal is to play finals in 2007.

2008 and beyond means little while that goal is still alive.

We pick our best side each and every week, if Campo's form places his him in that side, he plays.

Whether his form warrants selection or not, I don't think he should take up a spot in our midfield when we have guys like Hislop, Houli, Dempsey, Lonergan and co. to develop while other guys like Lloyd, Lucas, Fletcher and Michael are still playing.

There's nothing wrong with developing them at Bendigo. If they're not ready for the pace and riggors of senior footy they want develop much anyway, play the best team possible and if they're are ready and good enough, they'll play.

I don't mind having Campo on the list, as least it adds a bit of depth if injuries or poor form hit(touch wood).
If he gets back to some really good form and fitness at Bendigo, and other don't show the similar form, then he deserves a game.

Campo is the sort of bloke who could get under the guard of teams and will most likely not be tagged as much as he used to. i wold stick him on a wing and let him get his 25 touches which most will be quality.

As far as people calling him a soft front runner etc. what did you expect him to play like when he got to essendon? the simple fact is that is the way he has always played.

If form is good enough then play him if not keep him at bendigo.

Did you just compare CAMPO with Hirdy ?????

OMG

CAMPO got FREE games last year through injury, reputation, and through the fact that Sheeds has to justify to everyone why he picked up this bloke in the first place..... ok we got him for nothing practically - but I daresay he is on a reasonable $$$$ wicket

My SAY NO TO CAMPO 2007 campaign was 'launched' on BigFooty because I am of the opinion this bloke is not all what he was cracked up to be - watch the tapes of his 12 games last year FFS ??? They are riddled with skill errors, undisciplined abuse of umpires, stat-chasing efforts, and general down hill skiing........

So far the selection committee have given me a lot of faith in not picking this overrated HACK and look like they are making him work hard instead of giving him FREE games. If this continues I will be happy - our youngsters getting a game before CAMPO at present deserve that right.

Thumbs up so far to the men around the selection table......

I can assure you Merv I am not.... born and bred Essendonian
Stood under the AF Showers Pavillion more times than I can remember watching the likes of your USERNAME strut around Windy Hill.

I just know I am right about CAMPO and am spreading the love around BF
DeeKayLillee will be proven correct by seasons end.......

Do yourself a favour - open both eyes - and watch CAMPO

FYI Richard Cole is in the same basket
A lot of posters here bag Kepler and Bolts of which I disagree strongly on several points........ I do not have a crack back because they are welcome to their opinion

More like a Richmond supporter to me. Jumps at their own any chance they get.
Campo is not 'our own' for starters........

So far the 'real' selectors have got it right !!! Very happy with them thus far.....

If we were 0-3 or 3-0, 1-2 even, my opinion on Campo has come from 'watching with both eyes' his 12 games last year and has nothing to do with turning on my own !!! I leave that to nuffies.......

By years end we will see either way about CAMPO and his impact on EFC ?!?!?

I reckon it will be NOUGHT, DONUTS, ROY ORBISON........

It's starting to get tiresome listening to you bag one of "our" players.

I can't recall you posting anything positive about us.

Focus on the positives! It's what a winning culture does.

If the young ones are playing well there is no need for him to be in the side, but if form dictates i don't have a problem with him playing. Just looking at our 22 from the weekend i wouldn't have a problem with him replacing either Dyson, Heffernan or Peverill if he was playing better footy than them.

unlike you kelvin I believe that I will not burn in hell if I have a strong opinion 'against' one of our listed players......

its ok you know !!! the world will not collapse.....

as for positives and wether I post anything like that - see thats where opinions matter.... I believe the MOST POSITIVE thing to do is to leave CAMPO running around chasing possessions for Bendigo and giving games to the likes of davey, jetta, dyson, nash, lee, lonergan, houli, hislop doing a reshuffle and playing johns, bolts, gumby and kepler before playing a washed up old hack like Campo - THATS POSITIVE in my opinion - obviously not yours........

Have a lovely weekend, Go Dons (wish I could watch the game)
