I wonder if we'll go with just a 2 KPF setup leaving Thilthorpe to relief ruck? Or will we play Billy or Berg until at least Tex returns. We definitely showed a preference for 3 key forward types ladt year.
Berg possibly as the 3rd tall forward/2nd ruckman.

Think we already know Frampton is not a key forward.

We need to use Frampton as a learning experience for our coaches.

We backed in a guy last year that we now have no intention of playing forward ever again and have put him into a completely different role.

Why couldn't we tell based on what he'd done at AFL level before that and what he showed during preseason that he was no good up forward?

What was it that blinded us or misdirected us? How could we have been so wrong?

We need to make sure that whatever Frampton dazzled us with last preseason is removed from any selection consideration and given zero weighting from now on - for all players and all decisions.

Not bad but Pedlar and Berry before Rowe and murphy. Jones starts at HB. Crouch will be in if fit.

The club view is that hard work is more important than output, for some at least.

It really is hard to fit all the young talent that are worthy of a game into the 22. Of the senior players the only guy that needs to get up and going without much delay is Brown. He's another that's played under duress a fair bit the last few years, so hard to know if he's still got it when uninjured or whether he will return to a reasonably uninjured state.

Agree; seems we really overcommitted having Brown contracted to the end of 2023.

You should start listing your ins/outs, along with reasons for your changes with each side.

That team is unlikely. Rowe, Murphy, Hately, Sholl, Himmelberg aren't best 22 currently. Jones will definitely be in the side. Milera may slowly build up his fitness in the SANFL before being played in the AFL side. Cook, Gollant, Hinge, Berry are all best 22 imo. Brown is no certainty either as he is very injury prone recently and has lost some of his offence. If we take Callaghan he looks ready to get some games early in the season.

Callaghan won't be playing for Adelaide.

Also, Hinge and Gollant best 22 but Milera not ?? Nah.

Milera is best 22 if fit but his body has been the big concern. He will be eased back into it imo. In saying that Milera is overrated by a few on here. Has had some good periods but still hasn't put a standout season together yet.

My theory behind it was you guys lack the small forwards to hit the scoreboard. Best you have are Murphy and Rowe. Rowe was decent for half the season before he gassed out.

Don’t mind Himmleberg, and without Tex for the start of the season he can play the third tall role. Rather him pinch hit in the ruck instead of young Thilthorpe. Sholl has speed and can play at half back or rotate through the wing. Hatley needs to be given a go. He has the talent and is exactly what the Crows need.

it was pretty close except Jones and McPherson are more secure in the 22. take out 2 of Shpll, Rowe, Murphy and Hately

Doubt Milera starts round 1 in the 1s. Probably if everything goes right, but I doubt they'll rush him or risk him if there's any doubt.
Yeah I can't see any of those guys playing R1 in the seniors.

Reckon Berry will get first crack ahead of Hately and Murray or Billy ahead of McCasey. Likely see McAdam ahead of Gollant and Sloane will start in the middle with Schoey at half forward and the pick 6 if plays would sratrt on the bench. It's really not easy fitting worthy youngsters into the side.

Berry and Sholl in for Hately and Worrell and it looks about right.
