I like it, but still think it could have had the black outlines. It's definitely one of the better logo refreshes we've had in the football world
How are Winamp even still a thing? I don’t think I know anybody thats used it since about 2003.

This is a great example of refining a ‘heritage’ logo for the modern age while keeping true to its origins. As they said in the presser, it’s about evolution not revolution.
Also… How they stuck with that lion for as long as they did is beyond me. Looks like the result of multiple iterations of copying.

Black outlines would add unnecessary complexity to it. Reducing it down to the two core colours is absolutely the right decision.

I would have liked to see a black outline, or a slightly darker green just to give a bit more contrast, but a really nice redesign otherwise. Happy we didn't go with the shield inside a roundel which seems to be the trendy logo to release in the last couple of years.
There will also be a new bespoke club typeface being released on the date listed there, strange though to see a club release one part of the brand and then show off the rest 6 months later, would have thought it would have been easier to sell it to fans with the whole lot at once.

I’m still trying to find out what is that the bird stands on. Is it supposed to be open to interpretation? Like Egg/Rock/Ball/Sun/Whatever?
Besides that, the new logo is way better. As pointed out, I miss an outline. But the old outline was unnecessarily too thick.

Both of these are horrendous. Nothing at all being communicated and stylistically out of date by a couple of decades. Who is greenlighting shot like this?

Hey everybody, gather ’round, it’s time for our annual “here’s a new spring football league” announcement post. This time we welcome back the United States Football League for their second go ’round, now tied with the XFL for most kicks at the can (but the USFL does have the overall

Another American Football league is being rebooted. The thing that peaked my interest though was that they are modifying old franchise logos

Ok so after studying it, the top one is the net/hoop, which is clever but shouldn't require so much thought. The second is a ladies fashion magazine.
On the plus side, it has actually moved away from the same old sans serif fonts that are now everywhere.

I believe this is a change back, it was the darker shade up until the 1970s, when the then-President changed it.

Neither. It was actually Valéry Giscard d'Estaing. He changed it to match the flag of the European Union, alongside which it is often displayed.
