Society/Culture Can we please stop equating the risk posed by left wing extremists with that of right wing extremists?

What has Trump and the Republicans done for working-class people lately?

Cut unemployment? It was going down before Trump took office.

Keep jobs in America? He still outsourced many of them.

Tariffs on China? Did fu** all.

End the wars? The bombings continued.

Tax cuts? The wealthy received the hugest chunk of those.

What am I missing here?

He got Biden elected, through his own sh*t campaigning, doesn't that count for something?

How does this tie into extremist activity exactly?

Right wing extremists seem to be overwhelmingly white, young (20's) and exclusively male.

Does it matter if killing a person ticks the box of being a terrorist activity or the individual ticks the box of being an extremist ?

The definition given to left wing extremism/terrorism is very very narrow and outdated.

A left wing extremist was jailed in NSW yesterday. His crime?

Peacefully protesting against coal.

Your argument that you made without the support of facts that demographics that most frequently commit serious crime vote Democrat because they blame Republicans for serious crime does not deserve a serious response.

The only people responsible for committing serious crime is the people who commit the serious crime.

I made no such argument.
The argument I did make was that people (as distinct from people who commit serious crime) who live in high crime areas vote Democrat because they blame Republicans for the high crime rates.

How TF would you know how people who commit serious crime vote?
You wouldn't know.
You're just making s**t up.

Half of Americans don't even vote, they are the largest demographic.

This has been explained to you several times already.

Without seeking to play an excessively semantic game, how would you define terrorism in such a way as to encompass all of the behaviour that it involves, and then how would you define left wing to see how that label effects the former?

Essentially, create for me a Venn diagram of both things, so we can see how they interact according to you.

I'm a little concerned by your fixation on left wing US political parties and racial bias in crime, in a thread about Far Right wing extremists, particularly having regard to this post, where you lionized the Nazis in a separate thread about them:

Interesting read https://facingtoday.facinghistory.org/examining-nazi-environmentalism-during-earth-week

"Surprisingly, Nazi leadership ardently championed renewable energy, and institutionalized organic farming and land use planning on a level unmatched by any nation past or present."

The intent of that post was not to champion the Nazis but to highlight a similarity between the Nazis and the far left.

Another one.

An alleged far-right extremist in Tamworth has been charged with advocating terrorism and violence against racial minorities and political leaders.
Counter-terrorism police say they had a “very real fear” Wade John Homewood, 37, would inspire someone to carry out violence or terrorism because of his allegedly prolific social media posts featuring nationalist and racist messaging.

Umm nah, unless you're talking about nazism in its absolute infancy, the 'idea' was socialism to put it simply.

But I wouldn't be aligning an antifa member with a member of the aus nazi party - they'd have glaringly different views on the world. Both extreme and crayon eating levels of intelligence but wildly different views none the less.

I think its pretty easy to understand the different between say being a socialist and being a national socialist

one of them is about socialism, the other is not
