Lambert turns 30 tomorrow maybe they see Shorty or Brown developing into that transition mid/forward role? Anyway I like the selection of Brown the recruiters obviously like his athleticism and ball use

I don't mind Brown, in fact I rate the pick and see how he could improve our backline. Can's see Short forward though, he is currently in his best position for mine.

Lambert's a unusual player, hard to tell how he goes in the next 4 years, could taper off or do a Brent Harvey for longevity

Wonder if the Freeman talks from earlier might get some traction again after not taking a Hobbs or Johnson.

I’m all for it and he’s still young enough if his body is right.

Don’t think Freeman’s body can hold up to being a full time athlete
Is fine with vfl training programs but his entire time in the AFL system he was plagued with soft tissue injury’s

that would be the worry, could not invest a lot in that venture, have to come from a low entry point to consider/

Dunno, footy club would know best and even then what impact he can make at AFL level versus racking up possessions at lower level disrupted by covid to?

Would be the type of player we would need to train with us over the pre season before committing see how he holds up but any warning signs just pull the plug
Or mid season draft pick up couple of months to try before you buy

Now that we have Gibcus, we don't need Bazzo, we need a KPF like Williams if going tall.

We should also be looking at some of the mids like Draper, Johnson, Goater, Knevitt, Taylor.

Something like Draper, Williams, Goater would be a good second night.

Might also be some value trading out the final pick of the three after we secure our top 2 targets, there might be a club willing to offer next year's 2nd + a 3rd for this pick + next years fourth maybe, or something to that effect.

Williams has not shown enough for me in the vision, Knevitt has not done enough either.

Bazzo might be a swingman, his movement is so superior to Williams.

I am not sure Williams will make it even at this stage.

Williams and Knevitt do not look to be likely types in terms of their movement.

Aymiss also is ungainly but his straight kicking and other factors give him a chance

I think recruiting someone who's rated with what they've done as a defender is too speculative. Nothing against Bazzo, but he was the choice if we didn't get Gibcus.

Since we missed Amiss and JVR, Williams is probably the only tall this draft unless we want to gamble or trade in next year.

I like Williams. Runs his ass off. Good hands. Nice kick. Great size.

Why do you think we need another tall at the moment? Whatever forward comes will be behind Lynch and JR.

At least Bazzo could play a few roles.

Aymiss would not have been any good for us either. He looks like a stand alone FF which is fine but our forward line is not designed that way.

We need versatile talls and I am so glad we got a big leaper who is not too tall in Gibcus being 196 cm because it means we can lay off the ruck hybrid types and let Ryan and others like Biggy develop at their own pace and find there own roles. Gibcus can be a bit more mobile than a stiffer taller type and contribute in other ways. I like how Gibcus holds the ball closer to his foot at the drop of the ball in his kicking to
