The reason I was on him early this year is because of his spread across all stat categories of footy that you're looking for players to excel in.

He tackles a lot, he gets it a lot and he puts it inside 50 a lot. He's a real footballer's footballer.

First use is of the pill has been a huge issue for us so it makes sense

Decent WA defenders started panicking when Draper (and JHF to be fair) went forward in the rep games. Tackles hard and wins clearances at U18 level. Surely he doesn't get past Adelaide.

For some reason I'm not as excited as some of you with our haul ! Love the ward pick but not sure about the other two. Not saying they are poor choices , I just thought we'd go a different prospect and believe me I HOPE I'm completely wrong!

Very talented and I'll trust the recruiters but I still struggle to see how a pure medium marking forward translates to the next level.
He is a classic rookie pick selection for mine. Get him into the system and see how he responds.

I really have no idea, I don’t follow the draft stuff as much as most around here, but I keep thinking about Sams declaration recently that he prefers players who are absolutely elite at one particular attribute as opposed to all-rounders, just ok at everything. With this in mind, the obvious reasoning behind some picks might not be obvious for some time.
