For some reason I'm not as excited as some of you with our haul ! Love the ward pick but not sure about the other two. Not saying they are poor choices , I just thought we'd go a different prospect and believe me I HOPE I'm completely wrong!

If you’d told me a few days ago we’d get Butler and MacDonald with those picks in the 20s I’d have taken it and ran for sure.

Would you take either at 52? Or do you think their are better options in other positions?

i think best available from my PoV are Ned Long, Morgan Ferres and then Charlie Dean, but at this point clubs draft favourites and for position.

I passed over Sheldrick and Lohman for Geelong's 5th pick in the 40s for Tyreece Lieu

It's a good exercise to see what traits you might be over/under-rating as a fan.

Our midfield is terrible. We picked 2 pure mids and a fast mid/forward who applies pressure. I'd have liked a bit of x factor or midfield size but we have targeted the areas we needed to target. Happy with the haul. Seem to have recruited heavily on character and work ethic too, which might be a sign of Mitchell's influence.

I thought that is where paying the most in Mitchell,Wingard,JOM. Worpel and Mitchell cannot seem share the space, add another 2, definitely hybrid role is best, like how Burgoyne, Hodge, Lewis used to do it. Still would have like DGB to partner up with Bazzo. We have few young guys too in midfield around 2-3 that want to break in. It is not like our current midfielders can go anywhere, we did not trade them out.

So there is a break between rounds 2 and 3 and the Swans take the full 5 minutes, there are failed trades which run for 10mins, then they still do interviews with pick 42 like anyone cares. Honestly what an awful broadcast.

I'm okay with it to be honest, like learning more about some of the kids i don't know about. Bit drawn out? sure but it is way better than something like the Brownlow.

Taylor, sonsie and or Howes. But it's all good , just watched Butler highlights for the first time and I'm impressed. Moves quickly once he has possession and can carry the ball as well. I've come around big time now I'm gonna take time to look into young Conor.
