    You've caught me on the hop with no time to prepare but in the interest of keeping things rolling I'll go shane tuck and Andrew Kellyaway. Two of my favorite players and hard bastards.

    Paddy Guinane was an excellent footballer, with a muscle-bound physique that teammate Kevin Sheedy once described as the best he had seen in footy. He played as a powerful marking forward in the 1967 flag; club great Francis Bourke compared Guinane to Matthew Richardson in terms of the way he would play during his 146 games for 216 goals.

    BIOGRAPHY
    Paddy played his early football with Richmond as a ruckman and defender. He later transferred to a key-forward position, where he won two Goalkicking awards in 1966 and 1968. His highest tally of goals was 8 against Collingwood in Round 12 on 1968 and he kicked 5 goals or more five times. He was a solidly built-player whose greatest asset was his strong marking and effective body use. His kicking for goal was not always accurate and this detracted from his game at times. He was a very enthusiastic player whether at training or during a match.
    He ran second in the 1962 Best and Fairest award and third in 1965. He was also a member of the 1962 night Premiership side. He was awarded Life Membership in 1967 and was vice captain of the 1967 Premiership team. Paddy represented Victoria twice in 1960. He later served on the Richmond Board of Directors between 1985 and 1987 and again in 1989. He was Graeme Richmond's "Mr Fixit"! After leaving Richmond Paddy played at Dandenong for two years before crossing to the Tony JEWELL – coached Caulfield. He spent four seasons at Caulfield and was a member of their 1973 Premiership side. He coached the Richmond Under/19s in 1978 and 1979 and the Reserves in 1980 and 1981.

    No denying that Taylor was a talented forward when recruited by Richmond as a 16 year old in 1978, and he finally made his debut in 1980. He struggled to make an impact early on having to compete with Roach for the FF spot. In 1982 he kicked 71 goals from 15 games with bags of 10, 8 & 2 x 7 goals. In his final year with Richmond he kicked another 61 goals from 16 games, proving that he had the talent to be a success as a key forward, but after growing frustrated with playing second fiddle to Roach he requested a trade to the Pies at the end of the 1984 season.

    Before my time but this is an incredible story. I just can't say no to Neville Crowe.
    The phantom punch incident tragically and unfairly meant he missed his flag opportunity after living and breathing the club for so long. Then goes on to administer the successful save our skins campaign. Thanks mate, what a guy. Couldn't find much footage but looks like he had good ruck craft and could take a good grab.

    Nathan Foley has played 154 games for Richmond since debuting for the Tigers in 2005.

    Foley was drafted by Richmond using pick 3 in the 2003 AFL Rookie Draft, from the Geelong Falcons. He made his debut in Round 10, 2005 against the Melbourne Football Club, in a match well remembered for the horrific broken leg sustained by Tigers' star Nathan Brown.

    In 2007, Foley had a break-out season, establishing himself as one of the AFL's best on-ballers. He was selected in a squad of 40 for the All Australian team, but missed out when the official 22 man team was released on 17 September 2007. He was runner-up in the Richmond Best and Fairest count, only one vote behind the winner.

    In 2008, Foley was named as Richmond's deputy vice captain along with Chris Newman

    Natural talent wise Shai is right up there with the best.Put him in my star studded line up and this lad will destroy you.


    Progressed from a promising youngster to a star-in-the-making courtesy of a tremendous 2020 season.

    He was given the opportunity to spend more time in the midfield and it paid dividends as he took his game to another level.

    Bolton possesses dynamic pace, evasive dexterity and a thumping kick.

    The West Australian finished fourth in the best and fairest and is now a two-time premiership player.

    A highly talented centre-half-forward known for his high marking and thumping left boot, Ray Poulter won three goal kicking awards and was runner-up in the B&F in a 170-game career that netted him 351 goals (9th on Richmond's all-time list). He kicked 5 or more 19 times and represented Victoria three times.

    Although his senior career coincided with fallow period for the Tigers, he was a member of the club's 1946 reserves premiership at the age of 17.

    263 games, 275 goals. 1932 premiership captain and 1934 premiership captain-coach, Percy Bentley held the record for most games as Richmond captain (168) before it was broken by Trent Cotchin.

    A strongly-built, mobile ruckman, Bentley's rugged style of play inspired his teammates and set the tone for a young Jack Dyer, the two combining with rover Ray Martin to form one of the Tigers' greatest following divisions.

He was a rugged player who used his ample physical strength to gain the best position in rucking and marking contests.     Better than Ben Lennon & Ben Nason at least - but yeah Cousins played what, a season. Didn't mind Ben Holland 98 to 2001, but he seemed a distracted soul once Adelaide came knocking - should have gone in hindsight but went to the Demons instead a few years later.

    Ben Holland launches a Supreme Court writ against Richmond and former Tigers' president Clinton Casey over alleged unpaid payments totalling over $500,000 based on a three-year contract he signed with Richmond in 2001.
    Holland claims he gave up a lucrative offer to join the Crows to stay with the Tigers who offered a deal worth half a million dollars less, but who had then promised him other incentives such as land, property, shares and employment opportunities.
    Holland says the promised incentives were never fulfilled by Richmond and is now suing them for the difference between the contract he gave up with the Crows and that which he signed with the Tigers.
    Tigers CEO Steven Wright says he is surprised that Holland has raised this issue after believing the matter had long been settled.
    "We were surprised to hear about this recently, we thought the matter had gone away a long time ago," Wright said.

    Former Richmond president Clinton Casey has been given just weeks to settle claims by high profile Tiger players.
    Richmond stars Nathan Brown, Matthew Richardson and Kane Johnson are asking for a minimum of $300,000 from Casey with the threat of taking him to court if their demands are not met.
    Casey, and Richmond, only recently settled out of court a dispute involving another ex-player, Ben Holland.
    Holland gained the confidential settlement, believed to be more than $100,000, after lodging documents with the Supreme Court seeking $530,000 from business and investment opportunities that he claimed were not delivered.
