There was a lot of character and good family endorsements from Haggis. Nothing wrong with that but it was laid on a bit thick for a department often accused of prioritising character over ability
Reckon it was tied in to Nicks theme about prioritising others and more for the benefit of the rest of the playing group. Having said that an easy way to get drafted by the Crows is to help your teammates ;)

Some interesting news I heard last night.

Haggis and the new boys all drove to Adelaide from Melbourne. It seems they didn't want to risk being on a plane with a positive case and having to isolate. Good idea.
As the boys said, they did almost all the first session.
Rachele has already wowed his teammates. Apparently he outpointed Smithers in a one-on-one, burst away from him and delivered a lace out pass to a leading player. A few minutes later, he wheeled on to his left banged in a goal from outside 50. His teammates are already convinced he's a top level player.

Ah, the audience was the playing group.

They want to hear these guys can play and aren't dickheads.

It's understandable, considering what Nicks prioritises, that he made a big deal over what these kids did for others and that they're unselfish.

I also perked up when Haggis said Zac Taylor had won ten B&Fs in 10 years.

Ah, that’s why we couldn’t take anyone taller than 180cm in the National Draft.

All three needed to fit in the backseat of Hamish‘s Camry.

Seriously, how hard is it to hold a set media conference indoors? Why the F@#$ are we still getting interrupted by lawnmowers and cars going past? It's pathetic.
Hold it indoors. Give the journalists a microphone so we can actually hear the question. It's not difficult.

Suspect the AFL COVID regime thinks differently.

Following on from my previous post, I also heard that only Doedee, Sloane and Laird haven't been at training.

Bad news is that Doedee is going to have an interrupted preseason. He has an issue that they can't find a solution for...It's not great news.

WTF, did they say how long he’s had it?

An interrupted preseason almost always ruins a player's season to reach maximum potential. Thats a shame.

Since end of season. Just hasn't responded. Specialist isn't sure what to do. Suspect he will be trying out some new specialists.

Really? What's the issue?

Post-season injury update didn't mention anything, and it was pretty comprehensive...
