Would have to be the least likely player in the AFL to leave, surely. Carlton will throw everything and more at him if they even get a whiff of him wanting away.

People can make jokes about the salary cap all they want. However to think that our list manager is anything less than 100% confident we have the cap space to re-sign Walsh, is absolutely ludicrous.

It's quite clear to see that most people salty of Carlton's signings and re-signings have never heard of the 95-105 rule. Not to mention they fail to take into account the retirement of Jones ($500k), as well as Marchbank, Cuningham, Fogarty, Setterfield, Carroll, Boyd, O'Brien, Dow, Parks, Cottrell, McDonald and Williamson who are all under the pump to save themselves from being traded/delisted.

I'm sure there are a lot of oppo fans very envious of Carltons 9-12 finishes over the past couple of years.

If he strings a few good games together early or has a match winning run against Richmond at a packed MCG you could see a new record for biggest AFL contract. The Ablett and Buddy moves required a special set of circumstances that don’t exist at this time so can’t see him moving but Carlton will have to pay$$$
