Who was it that was sooking about the UK vaccine deal where we had to give them doses after they helped cover Gladys's Delta failures, which was apparently holding up the booster rollout? Apparently we have enough stockpilled to vaccinate the country 5 times over

It turns out if you innocculated everyone in Australia older than 12yo (21.4mill) out of a total population (25.8mill) then that is 83% of the population IN TOTAL.
This is almost exactly the Herd Immunity Threshold for a disease like Delta with an Ro = 6.4 (HIT = 1-1/Ro) with HIT= 84%

NSW is heading right for this value now for total population, with 1 death every 2-3 days. It is doing real well, albeit with uncertainty on Omicron.

All it needs is for double vaccination to have equivalency to HIT for this thought to be supported.

NSW showing the whole country there's nothing to be worried about with the world leading vaccination rates we've been able to achieve here in Australia. State premiers everywhere else desperately trying to keep the fear campaigns alive so they can retain as much control as possible well after the genuine threat has passed. Just let go.

So to summarise, people coming in to the state who have had Covid and spread it, didnt have to quarantine, but anyone who may or may not have come in to contact with them have to quarantine? SO people going about daily lives with no Covid issues are now off work, losing business etc, even though we are over 80% Vaxxed. What was the point? We may as well have kept the borders shut and just gone about our lives in a bubble.

Also ****ed those people travelling (ie my daughter was going to her final National Volleyball tournament for school as she is a year 12, in Qld, and they were flying out Sunday morning. Of course that has all been ****ed in the entire ass). Way to go SA Gov, all you had to do was wait until school finished at the least, stop any school spreading events if you must. Been the Nanny State on Covid, which has been fine, the whole time, but then just go you know what, * it, have at it Covid, but then when Covid did have at it they have Shat the bed.

In hindsight we should have opened up about December 11th and let businesses have a few more weeks of decent trade, Christmas Parties, shopping etc during their peak period. That would still allow people time to get to SA for Christmas.

Not sure why they pulled the trigger so early, its cynical of me to think its so others could learn from our mistakes before they do the same, or to put pressure on others to do the same, but its probably true.

In Qld. Where no Covid spread like here now. Keep up
Guess why they don't have it? Because of something like this........

I'm suggesting if it's good enough for everyone then it's good enough for everyone.

If it isn't, what's the point? Are we pawns?
I know what we're not, we're not working in an environment surrounded by identified COVID patients where we could easily spread it to other sick people who are in the same vicinity. Most of them have to wear full PPE and change them regularly too, should the government mandate that for the public too?

Speak for yourself. I had to deal with no less than 17 covid positive in a week.

Nobody caught it.
