Quite new to actually taking Fantasy seriously instead of just playing a team of blokes with staches. Would my best bet this year be to stack the forward line with mid/fwds?

Tarryn Thomas $459,300 is worth a look.

Increased his time in the middle in 2020 which I expect to continue or increase again.

Pre-bye average of 74.5, post bye average of 95.5.

Missed one game due to concussion, kicked a few goals also with bags of 4 and 5.

If he can continue his second half of 2020 form and go at 95 or even improve slightly that will put him in top 10 forward territory.

I like TT as well but not sure what Norths midfield structure will look like with Anderson back fully fit and also the inclusion of Greenwood. He might go back forward more which could drop his scoring back to 75avg

Wait & see for sure too much risk

He'll be one of the players who rotate between the forward and midfield.
Great clearance midfielder who can kick goals and set up scoring shots.
Will be in for a big 2022.

Is anyone considering Charlie Curnow @ $224,300?

The last reason I have for why to pick Butters is for the more cynical among us but still worth a mention. 2022 is a contract year for the young Victorian

Not that it makes any difference ......BUT HELL YEAH !!

Averaged 110.3 over the last 10 rounds of the season and has reportedly came back in by far the best shape he has ever been seen in. Supposedly looks to be really enjoying himself while training, more than he has previously.

His name? Jake Stringer.

edit - Ok I did omit a 79 in the elimination final, but you get the point.

With McGrath back this year is he really expected to get midfield time

He’s split his training minutes mid/forward. I’d say yes.

With the shape he is in I see no reason why he shouldn’t retain the role he had at the back end of the year. I’m definitely going to be watching his role closely though, it’s my only concern.

Do you think Hobbs will be playing early?

Rutten likes to play the kids, so I think he’ll definitely play early. Maybe not round 1, but early.

Not sure how much time he’ll get in the middle if he does though.

Cheers. Been tossing up between him, Ward, and Johnson for a midfield bench spot.

Wingard has been a tease for a number of years....but after moments of petulance in 2020/2021, did the penny finally drop late last season? Or was this just a Clarkson farewell performance unlikely to be repeated?

Seems similar to Tobey Greene. Playing mostly forward, the scoring isnt consistent for entire season.
