You got rid of Tarrant who used to miss more goals than he scored. Watching Rocca and Cloke kicking for goal today it was like nothing had changed. Had no confidence watching these blokes kick for goal today and this has become a regular problem with them. You kept Essendon in the game today and wouldn't want to repeat that against other teams in coming weeks.

Anyway...great game today. Deserved the win (should have been by eight goals though).

Yeah, it wasn't that surprising seeing Cloke shank a few of them. He usually does. I believe Rocca to be a fairly reliable set shot of late. He was a bit off today though. The most pleasing thing was seeing them present the way they did. They both gave us a really strong target up forward and should cause a lot of headaches this year.

I think it's a confidence thing because last year generally he was a fairly reliable set for goal. As long as he is presenting well I think he's doing his job as CHF, if he can gain confidence in his goal kicking he may be able to dominate games in future.

did i hear the commentators mention that Cloke has kicked 17 goals 35 odd in his career... and 1 Goal 8 or something this year. I can't understand why players don't improve thier goal kicking, only part of the game that you have full control over.

Coming off a wet ground with 3 days rest may not have helped the kicking

Yeah thanks so much for Tarrant. He does wonders for our forward line. The 50 goals he'll kick this year, won't compare to the 100 Pavlich kicks because of his presence. When Farmer comes back it will only get better.

Just can't believe you traded him at 26 yrs old for the 25yr old Medders and an unproven youngster.

I would have thought that would be obvious??? Sure i'd be great if we still had Tarrant but ultimately in terms of "Snagging a Premiership" Tarrant wasn't going to help us achieve that.
We needed a young pick because in our eyes a Premiership is about 3-4 years off and by that stage Tarrant would not be useful for us whereas a young KPP pick would be coming into his prime.

In short Tarrant in our strategic plans had no value for us, its a shame he's gone but we got what we wanted.
So did Fremantle.

Interesting point. Taken.

though just read this...

"The educated word out of the Lexus Centre in recent times says the club will be much better next year and ready to strike in 2009-10. "

He will be coming into his prime, if not now, then during that time.

He grew up as a bulldogs supporter.
So the ghost may be visiting you, always right

Bit harsh, you think? Medhurst kicked 50 goals for Fremantle a few years ago. If he can get back sooner rather than last - hopefully in time for Adelaide - he will be vying for the leading goal kicker award (at the club) along side Anthony Rocca and Alan Didak. Oh, another 50 (goals) is not out of the equation either, he's been a good pick up.

Fremantle might just have a win/win trade for once. Who will be playing on McLeod this week? Groom?

Get over it already. You're living in the past. That was ten years ago when we had no infrastructure, scout reports and a WAFL team. We haven't screwed too much up of recent years, hence one of the best lists in the competition.

Also, if you think this might be win-win for us, then you have to be a little dissapointed to be the ones to let it happen?

He's injured. Youre banking on Didak to kick the most goals for you this year?!?! Um....

We aren't talking about premiership points, we're talking about the trade and players. So whose trolling. Before you played yesterday, you were one win up on us at a very early stage of the season. Hardly something to gloat over.

Your the one ranting on our board about Tarrant whose been patchy at best.
You sit 1-3 and have only beaten the worst team in the comp at the moment and play one of the in form teams this Sunday.

Medhurst has been great so far and we have high hopes for Ben Reid, we are quite happy at this stage and sit 3-2.

Get your own house in order before lecturing others.

Well don't talk about our players and put there names in the thread title. He's not yours anymore. Get used to it.

Arent we talking about Tarrant? Again, you can't help going back to something completely unrelated.

Medhurst has played 3 out of 5 games already. You're happy with that?

Get your own house in order before lecturing others.

Well as i was discussing our forward line and our forward line has been fine in all of our games, i think our house in that context is doing just fine.

You are happy with the trade, as are we. Why do you want to fight it? We have made an investment in the future, and we won't be seeing dividends straight away unlike you will be with Tarrant.

Who said I'm trying to fight it? Just because people are attacking me?

I said that the point was taken, when someone replied that you needed someone for in 6 or so years time when you wanted to try and snag a premiership. I aslo mentioned an article saying that people at Collingwood thought next year and 2009 would be good chances for a premiership.

It's no big deal, just agro people are attacking me, being an opposition supporter.

Want a tissue? Run along back to the freo board troll.

We tired of Tarrant and rate Ben Reids talent and think he could be something special.
