Seriously if it’s not during serve or play, it’s fair game. You’re playing a packed sporting event in a final, there’s gonna be noise between 1st and 2nd serve who gives a *

Not as bad as some of the U.S open crowds but wow don't blame Medvedev for being annoyed at the crowd - so hostile, booing his mistakes is pathetic no matter who it is. Especially given our own countries players and their attitudes it's a bit rich to criticise Medvedev in comparison or label him as some villain. Rather his open and honest outbursts than some seemingly fake humility persona.
Yet the consistent time wasting pushing rules/boundaries to the maximum is completely ignored and seemingly not an issue because of who it is.

Would be surprised if Med wins if it goes to 5.

Commentating which is supposedly meant to be unbiased is so pathetic.
Telling the umpire to do his job and control the crowd isn't manipulating its asking for fairness.

Yeah he's cast as the villain but he doesn't strike me as a bad guy or anything he just likes to troll a bit. Makes good viewing tbh. Massive respect for both these guys. Even if Rafa loses to come back like this at age 35 is just nuts.

He had a crack at the crowd after R2, called them low IQ.. not exactly the way to get the country on your side so early in his career.
Just called them idiots too, nice and loud.

Sorry but he is playing absolutely crap since third set.

Hitting balls far, hitting the net, not serving as well. Embarrassing performance since mid-match.
They’re both out on their feet. Pretty big effort just for both players to return it at the moment. Makes you appreciate the winners a heck of a lot more

Insert Jim Courier - the most unbiased and irritating voice in tennis commentary. Ever.

Medvedev needs to remember this isn't a one off. He's coming back every year.

Might not be the smartest idea to put the whole crowd against you for the next 15 years if it rattles you this much.

Seriously manipulating being used over and over regarding Medvedev? Really?
Don't care who it is - the crowds hostility one way is poor and he has a right to say as such, doing it on his serve to put him off is terribly poor, do it to both or neither.
Umpire can't do that much more but can't call it manipulating because he's frustrated at the behaviour.
