The Strikers are slightly odd in that they have also Matt Renshaw who has been a fairly good middle order bat in recent seasons, not to the level of Wells, but if Renshaw is contracted for some more seasons, I can understand the thinking. I assume Wells is looking for a big contract as it may be the last one offered to him at his age.

BBL in Australia will never work unless they are given a dedicated month to run the thing, that means all Australian players are available for every match. The Australian summer is over stacked and the imbeciles at Cricket Australia will never alter the Melbourne Boxing day or Sydney New Year schedule to squeeze them all in? The Tests should all be over by the end of December .
