iDon, is like the furniture of the club, surprisingly still in one piece after all these years. Congrats on making it to the magical 500 mark.

Regardless of anything else, 500 of anything is a lot. I can’t imagine doing anything I LIKE 500 times, let alone enduring all the shitcampaigners in the SFA.

FIVE-HUNDRED is a MONUMENTAL number. iDon is a highly valuable member of the Bombers and a verifiable legend.

He has been around far longer than just about anyone. When I was captain, I tapped into his experience on occasion, and he was always ready to help. Unfortunately on the eve of the S24 Grand Final team selection our relationship got a bit shaky; iDon had asked me to stand down as captain immediately, but unfortunately I was busy:


Luckily it all worked out in the end, iDon stayed, we won the flag, I got banned, and he got to 500 games as a Bomber.

I am fairly certain he lives on a desert island somewhere and he occasionally drops by the golf board. He sent me a PM one day with a photo of a timber table asking me what species of timber it was. Pretty sure I said it was brushbox even though it looked nothing like it.

Proud to have played a small part in this illustrious career. True Bomber royalty!

Congrats iDon on 500 games. In my relatively short, but hideously successful tenure as the Bombers greatest leader, iDon was always there behind the scenes to help out when I needed advice..

Back in S.25 I created the Bombers Hall of Fame and named it the 'iDon Hall of Fame'. That's the regard we held him in at the Club.

Ok then. Congratulations on 500 games, iDon! You’ve been an ornament to the game. A true legend of the Bombers and the league.
On a personal note, I’ll always remember the wisdom you bestowed on me in my early days in the SFA…

Even back in seasons 10/11 I considered iDon (Old Mav) to be one of the most important and respected posters at the club. He wasn't a prolific poster but any contribution he made had some kind of aura about it that felt like a club legend was dropping by each week to see how everyone was going.

To me, Old Mav was a club legend way back in season 10. These days he is a true club legend, aknowledged by all.
