What a mess. Doesn’t appear much thought went into planning

Well obviously its all happened very quickly so there wasn't any great planning put into it. Sounds like Bruce Buck is just back doing his old job officially after copping the blame for the failed ESL thingy. The ones stepping down are the ones who don't think they can do the job.

We are still where we were before with Marina, Petr and Bruce running the show and not much has changed.

Article states they’re concerned that they may be compromised and also believe it’s not appropriate for foundation to run football club.

Utd cancel Aeroflot deal.

City fans must be praying Abu Dhabi government doesn't do something outrageous like the Ruskis.
Liverpool fans must be praying Standard Chartered doesn't breach EU sanctions against Russia again.

Like United with Aeroflot hey. And Liverpool previously with Tibet water.

I guess getting rid of sponsors owned by nation states that do shitty things isnt for all clubs.

Your selective blindness toward anything involving Liverpool and your desperation to link anything bad to Man City is always funny.

Ha ha. So deluded.

Standard Chartered is not a nation state owned business. Nor does Liverpool rely on it. There would be dozens of businesses ready to take their place in an instant.

And it is hilarious you bring up fines for money laundering control failures. Most financial institutions of SC's have been fined for it. With millions of clients unfortunately theres going to be some using it for the wrong reason.

As uncomfortable as it is for you MCFC is majority funded by Abu Dhabi state owned or linked businesses so should they do something outrageous it will be a major problem for your club. So it is very relevant to the issues faced by CFC thanks to Abramovich' mate being a psychopath.

Personally I am happy we dont have ownership tied to a foreign government known for doing bad s**t.

Regarding Chelsea, if the ultimate beneficial ownership of the club is not changing then everything being done by Abrahamovic is just window dressing.
Would not lose a wink of sleep if they were forcibly folded. 20 years of stealing trophies*

Apparently we owe an instalment to CSKA Moscow in the summer for the Vlasic transfer, and we may not be able to pay it because of the sanctions.

Wonder what FIFA would do in that situation then.
