You guys listened to the GOY album yet? I like it, some great ballads on there. Interestingly, the last two songs are called "hand of god" and "goal of the century".

I thought "brothers" and "foreboreance" were fantastic as well.
Forgot it was out to be honest but have loved the songs out as singles.

Man itself is great as is Tend the Garden, wake of you leave and angel of 8th.

Returner so far is not for me. He does mention Batistuta in it haha.

Now I live by a motto, just like Assou-Ekotto
And it's "* you and pay me", it's a line I respect
A below-average shooter, I'm hardly Batistuta
But the vision and motivation? I get”

First song not bad but might be a grower.

Hand of God/Goal of the Century I really enjoyed aswell as forebearance.

He also mentions Goodson and Kopites too haha.

It’s a 7/10 at the moment for me.

Hahaha yeah some interesting lyrics scattered throughout the album.

Brothers has to be one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.

chef Loonerty Spanish Sahara (& Bok) what did you guys think of this song?

Its lyrics are exceptional;

Listening again whilst at gym.

I know that songs supposed to be about him finding that he has half brothers elsewhere that his father had bailed on.

Yeah I think it's great as well. Never listened to Camp Cope much, but was very pleasantly surprised with this cover.
I have listened to the cover a few times. Like it a lot. Enjoyed the lyric change too from DWP to Centrelink.

Have you seen this?

Also, thoughts on GOY album?

Yeah watched it just now, it obviously makes sense for them to make a few changes to put it in their own context. They also changed the "The boy who kicked Tom's head in" line.

Re: GoY have listened a couple of times now (the first time I was driving through pretty intense rain so I didn't focus as much on the music).
I think it's really good, not quite Go Farther In Lightness, but still good. I think the pre-release singles are still the strongest as well as "returner". "brothers" is also very good but I think works best in context of the album.

I think this is the list of acts I'd definitely want to see:
Billie Eilish
Paul McCartney
Kendrick Lamar
Amyl and the Sniffers
Arlo Parks
The Avalanches
Beabadoobee
Confidence Man
Crowded House
Foals
Girl in Red
Glass Animals
Lorde
Olivia Rodrigo
Phoebe Bridgers
Sam Fender
Sampa The Great
Wet Leg
Wolf Alice

With more as "probably"

Oh boy I'm so ready for the album.

Yep, I don't mind this at all. Not the greatest thing they've released but, still, early signs for the new album are promising after how much of a disappointment Everything Now was.
