So Pedlar is a mid, and starts in the SANFL. 30 touches and 4 goals.

So we bring him in for Round 2, and he gets 10 and a goal, from a forward pocket despite our midfield sucking.

So we drop him for MURPHY, even when Sloane is out, whom Pedlar could replace, seeing as Sloane is moving like a pensioner and hack kicking it forward at every opportunity.

What are they doing?

I called Murphy in. Knew they'd be after someone with game experience and if Murph was at all fit he was a big chance. Had a fair idea it would be at Pedlars expense.

I said Hately and Berry in but neither made it, a bit odd all things considered. I'd say a fair few mid types must be on last warnings this week. Don't really understand the value of making Soligo the sub continuously either.

I can see why Frampton's in. I don't think its so much a slight on Murray, we just want a third ruck option to go against Ports two.

Laird in if he was right was always happening. Sloane not right so goes out.

Murphy shouldn’t be in our team full stop.
I don't have an issue with him in the side, he played some good games last year. However, I'm not sure he is needed with Rachele, Rowe and McHenry already in the side and I certainly don't think he should be getting a game ahead of Pedlar at this stage of our rebuild.

We think adding pressure forwards will stop front half turnovers when it's not the forwards fault, it's the midfield

Murphy was garbage for most of last year.

I'm bit perplexed by the Soligo selections. And the rest of it, but particularly that one. Have a feeling he will be treated like Berry 2.0.

How hard is it to get a bit creative and do something like play kids recruited as on ballers, on the ball?

I.e How many bounces has McHenry attended since being recruited? He sucks balls as a Fwd and drives me insane with some of the things he does, but there is something there, I'm just not sure what due to lack of exposure to other positions.

Ahhh whatever. I'm not really shocked.

Pissed off that Pedlar is dropped after 1 game, not to mention he is played out of position

Is it more beneficial for him to play in the fwd pocket in the 1's or play midfield in the 2's? Genuine question as I've heard he's not fit enough to play mid in the 1's.

I get that it's disappointing for him, even more so that Rachele got the opportunity in the middle in the last quarter in front of him last week.

I can't understand how our key forwards are Berg and Fog.........Port's defence will be sh1tting bricks!

When will the young blokes get a go in the middle FFS???

Thing that worries me with Murphy is that he's not particularly naturally athletic and if we bring him in when he's anything other than peak fitness he really struggles.

You know when I watched last week's game, I immediately thought the reason we were absolute shit is because a 10 game KPD and 3 game midfielder played as a forward had poor games
Absolutely the key reason. Nothing to do with a midfield that got smashed or refused to play defensively at all.

Good that Gollant stays in.

Berg and Fog kept in so they either perform or do what they've been doing and embarrass themselves in front of their home crowd (and home state for Fog)?? If they don't perform they can also cop the sprays from the crowd as well for a bit of truth telling.
I dont think their performance has been as bad as some on here make out but its do or die now. Tex is in nextweek for someone.
