I mean it isn't salt to disagree, Rudy imo is still the most impactful defender in the league.

He was a default winner over Simmons last year because of the importance of rim protection, but i legit don't believe they were going to let Rudy win again this year no matter what.

That's fair enough, I think Gobert is bit of a polarizing figure, who does put many in the media off side, and probably a victim of voter fatigue too.

It's good to see another guard finally win it though, although Bridges from Phoenix was a bit stiff.

But when you read crap like Smart wasn't a top 5 DOPY candidate here and on Realgm/Twitter, that's just nonsense.

I don't mind people saying someone else should have won, but I do get annoyed when I read that he wasn't worthy or deserving of it.

Smart's second half of the season, along with the rise of Tatum was the reason we turned our season around. He was incredible.
